Join us to experience the magic of the northern nature in the evening twilight. Drive through a beautiful winter landscape in snowmobile headlights before stopping for a break in the middle of the pitch-dark forest. Children 4-14 years old are seated in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile. If a child over 140 cm wishes to sit in a snowmobile as a passenger, a full adult price will be charged (according to availability).

Not recommended for those who are not used to it. Old motorcycles, some with working problems. Only 1 guide and no rear, if you get too behind or too slow they leave you behind. In the camp, there is no infrastructure. So, if you need to go to the bathroom or go badly, pray to be rescued. Oh, bad.

We are in the twenty-first century, a time when our knowledge of safety and security has increased. Yet the trip was completely unsafe and lacked even the most basic safety measures. Hello everyone. With my brother we were able to do this night snowmobile ride with barbecue in a traditional Finnish shelter in the middle of nature. An unforgettable moment supervised by Antoine and Marco two people at the top who put a pleasant atmosphere. If you don't know what to do with your evening , now you do. I highly recommend .

Good activity, very nice staff, well suited to families with young kids. Hearing about Samis around fire and BBQ was nice too. It would be great if there was the possibility to go faster with the snowmobiles (for those who feel like it). Thank you!

Do the safartica. The organizers are very good and you can do a lot of activities. Snowmobile, sled dog , forest survival training , etc.

Experience to do absolutely! We were accompanied by Emil, a really prepared and very helpful Italian guy. The hike lasted slightly longer than it should and we were really happy.

We had a great experience with Safartica! The tours are well organized and well planned. It was particularly positive that the snow clothes were available on site, which minimized the effort. Raffaela was very nice and always helpful, which made the whole experience and holiday even more enjoyable. The snowmobile tour with Boris and Mayra was a highlight. He brought in personal anecdotes that brought the tour to life. Also the Finnish for beginners course was very entertaining and fun. We can only recommend Safartica and would book again anytime!

Never snowmobiled before, but we went for individual machines rather than riding pillion for 1/2 the trip and swapping over, and glad we did. Although we had warm clothes, we opted for their offer of snowsuits on top. Excellent trip headed by Temu our knowlegable local Finnish guide, and his helpful young Italian assistant. Wonderful feeling going along the deserted frozen Kemi River in Rovankiemi, then through the twisting forest tracks to the isolated hut and hot drinks and food at the halfway stage. Great experience, felt safe and looked after the whole trip which lasted about 3 hours.
100% do it and trust you’ll get the best experience possible.

Safartica were great to book through. All provided equipment & clothing for the cold was great quality including the snowmobiles. The guide (Emile) was fantastic and although we arrived back at HQ over 1 hour later than planned (@ 00:15), this was due to Emile giving us time to experience and photograph the Northern Lights which were just astounding. The company clearly strives to provide the best possible experience for customers rather than rushing. The passion for this was certainly evident with Emile. A POSITIVE POINT TO NOTE. Safartica have their own insurance to cover customers in the event of an injury or medical issue. This is something that was a surprise to me when arriving at Safartica. Many from the UK would ordinarily have to add ‘extreme sports’ to their travel insurance which can be costly. This is a real bonus.

I loved the nocturnal snowmobile ride. The guides are super nice and give their time to explain. I had a great time around a campfire!
