Join our evening tour of Ghent and discover the fascinating history, myths and legends of our city with an experienced and passionate local guide.

We take you off the beaten track to show you some highlights and hidden gems of our gorgeous city. After 1.5h we will finish the tour in the medieval quarter of Gent, very close to the city center, with a deeper understanding of Gent and perhaps some new friends!

If you cannot make it to the tour for whatever reason, please notify us, so we can open your slot to other visitors. Thank you and enjoy the tour!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our guides are volunteers who offer tours for tips, so please bring cash to reward the guide. The charged fee only covers the cost of booking via this platform.

St Michael's Bridge

We start here with an introduction to the history of Ghent and the role the city played as a trading hub in medieval times. We also introduce you to the 3 towers of the Ghent skyline, which are best visible from this spot.

The guide, Kenny, was really great and enthusiastic. Highly recommended to do immediately when you come to Ghent. You get a good view of what is on offer, next to all the dark myths and history. But everything in a light and fun way.

Kenny adjusted well to my change in plans; my wife needed additional rest and I ended up meeting him solo. He asked if I had any specific sights I wanted to see and I shared where I had been already earlier in the day. We agreed that my Night Tour should include darkly themed stories and provide some great photo opportunities showcasing the Medieval architecture and Street Art of Gent. At the end of the tour Kenny made sure that I knew how to return to the train station before we said good-bye.

Paula is wonderful, she adapts to the group and their needs. You can tell they have a great knowledge and passion for the city. It has everything with a lot of art and sympathy, that makes it very enjoyable. It also gives excellent recommendations for food and things to see and do in the city. Nice to meet you. I highly recommend.

Absolute top. And I'm not even into horrors or anything. I booked it out of convenience as evening time suited me but the guide was absolutely stellar. Learners a lot about Ghent history not just the scary stuff.
