Beginning from Lukla, we will walk through all the Sherpa villages on our way to the Everest and back. Stand on the foot of Mount Everest and gaze at the majestic giant all you can.

The Everest Base Camp is where all mountaineers begin their summit of the highest peak in the world. But wait, the journey begins quite before that. You have to walk through gorges, valleys, rivers, forests and villages to reach the base camp itself. And that is what we will do. Although we will not attempt to scale the Everest, we will set foot on it nevertheless. It is not the same but it comes quite close.

Altitude – From 4,600 feet at Kathmandu to 18,519 feet at Kala Patthar

Difficulty – Requires you to climb mountains for most part of the trip but in short sessions and plenty of rest and sightseeing in between.

Please make sure you take a travel insurance at home before arriving here. It is mandatory and you cannot take it in Nepal. Your insurance agent will know which insurance plan suits your travel.

It is advisable that you free up a few days before and after your trip schedule. For reasons beyond our control like flight delays, accidents and natural hazards, the itinerary may have to be altered. Please note that the flight to Lukla, the first step in your journey, is very vulnerable to weather shocks and it is common that flights are delayed or cancelled due to unfavourable weather.

Please inform us and our guides if you have any medical condition that might affect your trip. Please consult your doctor beforehand for any precautions you need to take and always carry medicines if you need them. However, our guides and local support staff have been trained in basic medical intervention and your travel insurance covers any emergency rescue or evacuation.

You may decide to alter your itinerary to some degree as long as there are no time constraints and everyone consents, if you are travelling in a group. Talk to us before embarking on the trip or you may also talk to our guides to see if we can arrange something. One thing we have learned from mountaineering all these years is however good you plan your journey, there are bound to be some improvisations to make our experience richer.

Because the little mountaineer within us says we can. At Everest, being so high and so removed from the rest of the world gives you a unique point of view of looking at life. We recently completed a fantastic 14 day trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) with Mountain Kick, guided by Kumar and his assistant Kisor. Our group of 5, including one teenager, was supported every step of the way by this amazing team. Before the trek Gourav’s email support was invaluable. He answered all our questions and provided helpful tips, ensuring we were well-prepared for the journey. On the trek, Kumar and Kisor were exceptional adjusting the pace to suit our group and ensuring our safety and comfort, especially at higher altitudes. Their encouragement kept us motivated and their attention to detail made the experience stress-free and enjoyable. The trek itself was a perfect mix of challenge and adventure and the professionalism of Kumar and Kisor made it possible for our teenager to fully enjoy the journey. Their knowledge of the region and culture added an extra layer of depth to the experience. If you’re considering a trek to EBC with younger family members, we highly recommend Mountain Kick. I did the Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Kick this past spring, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life. From day one, the Mountain Kick team made everything super smooth and stress-free. They were professional, knew exactly what they were doing, and really cared about us having a good time. Our guide was awesome—super chill, knew the mountains like the back of his hand, and shared cool stories about the area. He made sure we were feeling good the whole time, helping us adjust to the altitude and checking in on how we were doing. The views were unreal, the trek was challenging but worth it, and the whole vibe was just amazing. If you’re thinking about doing the EBC trek, I highly recommend going with Mountain Kick. They made it all feel easy and unforgettable.

Two weeks of trekking in the Himalayas, up to the Everest Base camp, has changed my life and my perspective. From start to finish, the base camp trek is mind-blowing. Thanks to our leader, Kumar, and our Sherpas were the best. Just go, have fun, its Damm beautiful.

Exceptional in every way; this trip exceeded expectations. The organization, service, administration, accommodation, and value for money; outstanding. I wanted to express my extreme gratitude to Mountainkick and especially for the team for wonderful customer service! You guys are awesome. Thank you for all of the arrangements you made on our Everest Base Camp trek. Our Guide Kumar is a marvel on a consistent basis! He listens, communicates effectively, knowledgeable, remains patient, approachable and prompt with our requests. Also our Assistant guide Hari for being so hilarious and knowledgeable too! No dull moment with you while we had our trek you are so funny hahaha...My stomach hurts of laughing because your jokes are so funny :) We certainly made the right choice in selecting a travel Agency. I was recommended to Mountain kick from a friend that had gone two years ago. I did not know what to expect. After this experience, I'm extremely pleased and glad I chose Mountain Kick. Kumar greeted us at the airport upon landing in Kathmandu and was alongside the entire way. He would brief us every single day on the next day plans and had it all figured out. It was an awesome experience and definitely recommend you go with someone extremely experience like Kumar with Mountain Kick.

I would like to thank the team of Mountain Kick, especially my guide Kumar. Recently did the EBC trip with Kumar leading our 9 pax group. The EBC trip was amazing. Breathtaking scenery from day 1 till the end. You feel like a spec in the universe surrounded by majestic mountains that dwarf everything. Truly humbling experience living with Nepalese locals seeing how positive they are after all the hardship of recent earthquakes and just life. We all have so much to be grateful for and this trip just emphasize that!!! If you want to go to Nepal, go with Mountain Kick!!!

During November of 2018, our group of nine firefighters from the US departed on a journey of a lifetime. For me, this was my second trip to Nepal and Everest Base Camp. The entire reason I returned was due to our guide Kumar and the outstanding service they provide. We were met at the airport and taken to our hotel in Kathmandu. After we settled in, its off for sightseeing. Mountain Kick provided us with an exceptional guide and great transportation. A few days later, we were off to the mountains. Getting to Lukla is easy with an experienced guide like Kumar. The lodging on the trek was outstanding and the food was great. An extra shout out to Dhan and Kumar for all the help getting one of our trekkers down to the hospital due to and unfortunate foot injury. The rest of the crew made it safely to EBC. This was truly a trip of a lifetime. Thank you also for your hospitality by your friends and family that welcomed us and feed us a great meal along with the shopping trip to the local bazaar. The small touches make your company the best. Look forward to coming back soon.
