  I recently completed the 14-day Everest Base Camp trek with Alpine Ramble, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. A special thanks to the owner, Dil Gurung, who was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was well-organized even before the trek began. His professionalism and attention to detail gave me great confidence in choosing Alpine Ramble. Our guide, Tilak, was absolutely excellent. He is highly knowledgeable about the mountains, always sharing insights about the surrounding peaks and local culture. More importantly, he kept us motivated every single day, especially during the more challenging parts of the trek. He made sure that everyone in the group was safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the entire journey. The porters also deserve huge recognition—they were very kind, hardworking, and always had a positive attitude despite the demanding conditions. Their support truly made a big difference in our overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend Alpine Ramble for anyone planning to trek to Everest Base Camp.   I recently completed the 14 day Everest Base Camp trek with Alpine Ramble Treks and had an amazing experience. Dil, the owner, was quick to respond to any messages and was very thorough in providing information for the trip. In particular, our guide, Tilak, was fantastic - a real highlight of the trip. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. His good humour and cheerful personality made some of the more challenging hikes all the more enjoyable. He was very attentive throughout the trip and I would highly recommend him if you are considering hiring a guide in Nepal. The accommodation and food throughout the trip was good and even when we were delayed at Lukla (due to bad weather and no fault of the company), the company supported us throughout and were extremely helpful. The porters on the trip, Ram and Samir, were also excellent. The company made the whole experience as smooth as possible and I would highly recommend booking with them.

  

  

• Amazing Nepal - Kathmandu to EBC to Chitwan - so awesome

  First trip to Nepal so really did not know what to expect, both for the trek to EBC and our time in Kathmadu. Dil and the Alpine Ramble team were great from start. Ready to collect us from the airport and the experience only got better from there. Dil organised a culture tour of Kathmandu for us on day 1 , loved the Hindu temple and the monkey temple. For the EBC trek we were under the guidance of Amar as our Alpine Ramble guide. Amar was awesome. Always there to support when needed and really kept the journey fun and enjoyable. Especially as we neared EBC as energy levels were pretty low at that point. Our Alpine Ramble porters Suk and Sonam did all the heavy work carrying our main bags up and then down the mountain. Suk even carried my day bag on the one day I was a little off colour. On our last night in Lukla Amar, Suk and Sonam also showed us how to party Nepali style which was a great way to end the trek. Massive thanks to Dil and the Alpine Ramble team for getting us back to Kathmandu without delay which required a helicopter charter as all flights between Kathmandu and Lukla had been cancelled. This gave us the opportunity to book a 3 day trip to Chitwan National Park before flying out of Nepal Dil arranged the Chitwan flights and accommodation and all transfers which made things so easy.   I had a great trekking experience, largely due to the guide who accompanied me on the trek, Arjun Gurung. He was extremely knowledgeable about the trek, the communities, history of the area, and he knew people along the route. He truly personalized the experience and made sure the pace was comfortable for me. I never felt rushed and he made sure my needs were attended to. He truly put me first and foremost. While in Namche Bizar, I thought I lost my wallet and passport. Without hesitation, Arjun began calling locals and business owners, inquiring if anyone had seen my items. Thankfully, they were quickly located. He also knew all of the great photo op locations, which is a bonus. I cannot speak highly enough about Arjun!

  Our trek to Everest Base Camp was a spectacular adventure from start to finish. The trail carried us through forests, high valleys, and into the stark, awe‑inspiring world of the Khumbu, where every turn revealed another view that felt almost unreal. The altitude challenged us, the cold kept us humble, and the scenery rewarded us every single day. What truly elevated the experience was Alpine Ramble Treks. Their organization, care, and deep knowledge of the region made the journey smooth and enjoyable, even when the terrain wasn’t. Our guide, Amar, and our amazing porters, Suk and Sonam, were encouraging, attentive, and always one step ahead in keeping us safe and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. When our flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu was cancelled, Dil stepped in immediately and arranged a helicopter so group members could still make their connecting flights—a level of support that went far beyond expectations. Reaching Base Camp felt like a celebration of every step, every climb, and every shared moment along the way.   My guide Krishna was knowledgeable and kind, and the entire experience was extremely enjoyable even for someone with very little hiking experience. The other guides Amar and Arpan were also great! Will miss everyone a lot and come back to Alpine Rambles for another trek in Nepal :)

  I honestly don’t even know where to start… this trek was something we will remember for the rest of our lives. From the first moment until the last step, everything felt so well organized and personal at the same time. We spent 11 days in the Himalayas and every single day was special. The landscapes were unreal, but what really made the difference were the people. Our guide Sures was absolutely incredible. And I have to mention Mr. Dill… (owner of the Alpine Rumble Treks) his hospitality was on another level. You can really feel he cares about people, not just the business. The small details, the way he treated us, the souvenirs he gave us , everything just made the whole experience feel even more special and personal. It didn’t feel like just a trip. It felt like something real, something what we won’t forget. If anyone is thinking about doing Everest Base Camp (or any other trips) I would recommend Alpine Ramble Treks to absolutely everyone, no doubt.   Me and my dad did the EBC with Alpine Ramble, a nice experience. Our guide, Prem was extraordinary, very nice, always helpful and very informative, such a nice person as well. Our experience wouldn’t be the same without him, 10/10!!!

  After many years of contemplating finally decided to take the hike. After careful consideration and comparing EBC companies, I selected Alpine Ramble. Price and date availability within my range but what set apart was when I reached out to Alpine Rambler, Dil the owner responded within 48 hrs while others have not. Dil was able to answer all of my questions spread over 6 months fine tunning. Once I arrived at Kathmandu I was greeted by my guide Tilak. Am I lucky or what? Tilak is all smiles and made me felt right at home. Carefully explained what to expect of the hike. Tilak is a true professional. Not only he knows the trails like his backyard but also know half of the people on the trail. Tilak is a true gem specially when dealing with a client like myself. I ask a lot of questions, stop unannounced to take photos, and tend to venture out. Tilak is always by my side making sure for my safety and answers all questions so patiently. I noticed that when I’m following him and stop for taking photos, he immediately stops as well. I think he hears my footsteps and stops when there is none. His attention to detail is amazing on the trail as well as in the tea houses. If you plan in trekking to Everest Base Camp, do yourselves a favor, contact Dil at Alpine Ramble, book your hike and don’t forget to ask Dil to pair with you. You will not be disappointed.
