Hiking to Everest base camp is a great option for people who love mountains and nature. For people who really want to be in nature with the Himalayas all around them. We get up early and take a 35-minute scenic flight from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2,804 m). When we get to the airport, the guide will give you a briefing and introduce our porters. Then, we'll start our hike to Phakding (2,610 m). After we land, we start our trek in the Everest region by going down to the Dudh Kosi River, where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, which is just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m). It's easy to walk. After passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m), it's a short walk to Phakding.

Today, the path takes us through forests, traditional villages with plowed fields, and yak pastures. We can see Thamserku rising above us as we approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. We keep going to Namche Bazaar after lunch. This is the biggest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region, and expeditions and trekking groups start from here. Here, you can buy a few last-minute things (like chocolate) if you forgot to get them in Kathmandu.

Today is a day to get used to the high altitude so that our bodies can get used to it. But that doesn't mean we don't do anything! The best way to get used to the altitude is to do things. You can spend a few hours hiking around the area or visiting the school Sir Edmund Hillary built in the Khumjung village as a thank you to the Sherpas for helping him climb Mt. Everest successfully. Some of the mountains you can see today are Kwangde (6,011m), Thamserku (6,623m), Kangtega (6,782m), Nuptse (7,861m), Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and, of course, Mount Everest (8,848m).

We're leaving Namche today to keep hiking to Base Camp. The trail goes up slowly, and at times the path goes close to a steep slope. During your climb, you will be able to see Ama Dablam. It stands 22,493 feet above the valley below. On the way, we will stop and eat lunch 3680 meters above sea level, where Lama Sange Dorje was born. After lunch, we'll keep going to Tengboche, where we'll spend the night. There are also forests, small waterfalls, pine trees, colored rhododendrons that leave beautiful dots on the green base, and many other beautiful sights.

The best way to trek to Everest Base Camp is along the lower path. On the way back, we'll take the upper path and stop at Gopma, which is 120 meters above the lower settlement. After passing Pangboche, the trail crosses an alpine meadow above the tree line and comes to Orsho, where it splits in two. The lower trail goes to Dingboche. When hikers get to Dingboche, which is 4,410 meters above sea level, they can walk around and see views of Ama Dablam, the Imja River, and other mountains. Here, the helicopter landing pad is close to Moonlight Lodge, one of the best lodges in the area, as well as the Internet Cafe and one of the highest billiards halls in the world.

A route between wide valleys leads to Dughla, where the hike to Lobuche, which is 4910 m above sea level, starts. Cross a few yak fields in Dusa and keep going to Lobuche. Above the tree line, the paths are now empty and snow-covered. So, you will notice that there are no trees or green hills. You only see slopes with snow on them. There are no Sherpa villages that stay here in Lobuche. You will have beautiful views of the tea houses and tall mountains nearby. The views of Tawache, Pumari Peak, and Cholaste are so beautiful that you can't look away.

Today is the last day of our trek in the Everest area. We'll be going back to Lukla, where the trek began, to end the trip. We like this time because it gives us a chance to talk about the trek as a group and to think about what each person did to make it happen. You don't have to do anything in the afternoon, so you can go out, relax, and take a hot shower. In the evening, have a few drinks and dance with the other people on your trek.

My friend and I had an incredible experience with Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition Binod, the Director, gave a great briefing before the trek likely set a positive tone and ensured we were well-prepared. Our guide, Sujan Nepal, was truly exceptional. "Honest, helpful, supportive" are wonderful qualities in a guide, especially on a high altitude trek like EBC. It's reassuring to know he prioritized our safety and comfort throughout the 14 days, navigating the "ups and downs" of the trail. Sujan's local knowledge and experience on the trail were valuable! offer insights into the best routes, potential hazards, and how to best manage the altitude. I would definitely recommend Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition.

We had planned to trek to Hotel Everest View with a helicopter ride over EBC. Due to poor weather conditions and several attempts, we were unable to fly to Luka. After discussing alternatives with Binod and our guide Shiva, we opted to trek to Poon Hill. Though our trekking experience was not what we had planned we couldn’t have been happier working with Binod and Shiva. They took care of changing all flights, transportation and accommodations which made the changes to our plan stress free. As for the trek itself, we cannot say enough wonderful things about Shiva. It was evident from the first day that he was well connected in the area. This was especially useful when we were unable to reach our intended destination due to flight delays on the first day. It goes without saying that having a knowledgeable and connected guide makes for an enjoyable experience. Shiva is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and watchful. It was clear that he wanted to make sure we were safe and enjoyed our trek. We would highly recommend Shiva to anyone trekking in the Everest or Pokhara regions, you will be in good hands. We also highly recommend Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition. Binod is very easy to work with and extremely accommodating. We were picked up/dropped off from the airport and they even helped us track down our missing luggage. Everyone we met was so kind and generous. Thank you for a memorable trip to Nepal.

This is the second trip with TB and Nepal Trek. First trip ended at Dinbouche because I came down with Dengue Fever. TB, Binod and Nepal Trek got me off the mountain quickly via helicopter and back to the hospital in Kathmandu where I spent a few days recovering. After how they handled that emergency there was never any question on who I would trust to take me and my Daughter on this current trek. My dream of trekking to the highest mountains in the world was amazing. We had no issues with the altitude. TB was always making sure we ate and hydrated to help with the acclimatization along the way. My daughters had an additional bucket list item which she completed by bungee jumping over the river canyon below Namche. TB and our porter Idan took such good care of us. Idan was always ahead of us, getting us the permits and having our lodging arrangements ready for us as we arrived at each location, we never waited as other trekkers stood in line. The trek was so smooth and easy because of the work TB and Idan did every day, always with smiles on their faces. From the minute we arrived at the airport in Kathmandu till TB dropped us off to return home, our every need was taken care of by TB. We had many meals together in Kathmandu, as I wanted TB to be involved in everything, as well as some celebration beers after. TB would not let me drink before the trek, his goal was to get me to EBC this time. On the trek we stopped consistently for pictures which they both were taking for us. I truly believe that they enjoyed trekking with us and that feeling just made things amazing for us. We could not stop smiling and laughing the entire trip. I count TB as not just a guide but a true friend. Over the course of the last two years he always was touching base with me to see how I was doing and helping plan this latest trek. True Customer Service at its finest. Thanks TB and Binod and the rest of Nepal Trek !!!!

Hi everyone, If you are looking for a honest, reputable, reliable, extremely reasonably priced and committed company for your trekking, helicopter tours, city tours etc, Binod Sapkota from Nepal Trek Adventures is your go to person. My wife and l took our 3 sons (16, 21, 22 yrs old) for a 11 day trip to Nepal. I connected with Binod via WhatsApp 3 months before our trip as I had reached out to 7-8 operators and he was the only one who reached out and followed up to helped us design a wonderful adventure. We kicked it off from our first call. Binod took care of all our transportation needs in Kathmandu and Pokhara, guides, tours, everything. The 5 of us also did Paragliding in Pokhara which was coordinated by Binod (we’ve done it before in Switzerland and Italy) but soaring over the Himalayas and Annapurna valley was beautiful. Binod coordinated our Helicopter flight from KTM to Base Camp Everest, priceless One of our best family trips we’ve ever made. Even though it was monsoon season and weather is unpredictable, n our 3rd attempt we got a breakthrough and got to see the majesty and beauty of Mt Everest. Breath taking, pricesless!!! We could have not done it or had the experience we had without Binod, and his team members like T.B., Prim and the rest. . He meet with us many times at our hotel and constantly was calling or checking on how things were going. If you are planning at trip to Nepal, don’t think twice and connect with Binod, you will love it. Kudos to my dear friend Binod. Namaste 🙏🏻 Marco, Angie and boys 🇨🇷🇺🇸 - Miami FL

One of the best decisions I made when planning a trek to Everest Base Camp was to select Everest Base Camp Travel. Right from the time I made the first call which was answered by Daniel their North America affiliate to Binod Sapkota who along with his team in Nepal tailored the trek to meet the dates I wanted to go, my experience with working with them was very satisfactory. My daughter joined me on this trek and we had the best time together. Our guide TB (Tribhuvan) was very knowledgeable about the mountains, weather, the vegetation and kept us informed along the trail. He was also very encouraging and made me feel confident in my abilities to complete the trek - I am a 62 year old female. From the time they picked us up at the airport to the time they dropped us off (even though we spent an additional couple of days in Kathmandu they made the time to pick us up at the hotel and drop us off at the airport) they were attentive to our needs & comfort. They were very sincere and their goal was our goal - which was to complete the trek and have a great time doing it, which we did. They also tailored The Annapurna Circuit Trek which I had started 6 months back, but didn't complete. So after the EBC trek, we took rest for a couple of days and then started the trek from where I had left off and completed it. They really made every effort to make sure that my desire to complete both treks were met. Binod was in constant touch with TB while we were trekking and making sure that we were at a comfortable pace and doing well. The sherpas were also very courteous and helpful. The arrangements they made for helicopter ride to Lukla to start the EBC trek, to driving to Pokhara to catching a flight to Kathmandu at the end of the trek were all impeccable. In short, the team at Everest Base Camp Travel is organized, dedicated to helping you meet your goals and very sincere. My experience with them was was very satisfactory. I would very highly recommend this company if you are planning a trek to Everest Base Camp.
