Tour was a good pace. The hike is easy but you are walking on loose rocks. You learn a lot about cactus.

My family has visited Arizona multiple times but our tour with Kathleen made this trip the best one yet! She taught us so much about cacti and the state of Arizona. She was sure to answer all our questions with patience and happily shared her knowledge. We will definitely be carrying this tour as our best memory! Thank you Kathleen, for the amazing day!

We got really lucky, and had a private tour with Mike, who is the best! This tour provides a comprehensive view of the area including old town, the apache trail, a easy to moderate hike (1 mile round trip, with slight grade, and mostly sure footing) in the Sonoran desert to explore the flora and fauna of the area, as well as some very scenic photographic subjects. We also enjoyed our visit to the ghost town, which is a replica, but really a great representation of an old wild west mining town! There is an opportunity to buy snacks or lunch at the ghost town, but your overall time there will be limited, so choose wisely. We sat for lunch at the grill, and then panned for gold, which was fun but took a lot longer than expected. It might be best to grab a quick snack, and then spend time walking around or panning for gold, but you might not be able to do a full sit down lunch and see/do all that you wish. We had a great time and found Mike to be very easy to talk to and engaging, with great knowledge about the area! We definitely recommend!

This is a great tour if you want an overview of the area, the flora and fauna of the Sonoran desert, and a chance to see an old west ghost town and mine. The hike is short, about a half mile each way in and out, without significant grade. It was easy and the pace was slow. If you are an avid hiker and looking for a serious hike, this will not fulfill that need for you. However, it's enough to give you a mild cardio workout. And some steps! The ghost town is a replica, but a lot of fun. We opted to try panning for gold. Just a word of caution that the activity is time consuming, and if you choose to eat lunch and pan for gold, your time to walk around the ghost town will be very limited. Mike is a great tour guide, and we enjoyed our conversations with him, and learned a lot about the area as we rode around.

This was a great tour filled with local knowledge and beautiful sights. Pickup was easy and prompt, the van was comfortable. We were a small group and kept things moving, but also plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions.
