Just 45 minutes from Paraty, the road climbs into Serra da Bocaina National Park, where the air cools and the views open up over the Atlantic Forest. At nearly 1,300 meters above sea level, our family ranch sits surrounded by mountains, native forest, and sweeping panoramic scenery that's hard to forget. The entire experience is reserved exclusively for your group. Your guide was born and raised on this land. He knows every plant, every trail, and every one of his horses by heart. His passion for the animals, the ranch, and the nature around it comes through in everything he does — and it's something guests never stop talking about. First-time riders are warmly welcome. Before heading out, you'll learn the basics of horsemanship and spend time connecting with the horses. 5.00This experience far surpassed anything I expected. Raul offered much more than just a horseback ride; he was an outstanding instructor and, in a short time, helped us gain a deeper appreciation for the horses and the wildlife in the landscape we explored. We had never ridden horses before, and Raul patiently taught us everything we needed to feel safe and confident in the saddle. He took the time to introduce us properly to the horses so that they could get comfortable with us, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and natural. His two horses, Laredo and Universe, are exceptionally well trained and incredibly patient with beginners like us, and it is clear Raul treats them with genuine care and kindness. The picnic at the end was wonderful, and the scenery from the 1,400 m high ranch was absolutely stunning. Overall, a flawless 10/10 experience.

5.00What a wonderful experience! Learning from beginning to end about horses, about cohabitation, about exchanges, about nature. Raul is very caring and spends a lot of safety and mastery on the handling of the horses and on the horse ride area! Super worth for those who have no experience like me. It was a very delicious walk! Looking forward to the next opportunity to be in this sanctuary which is the Horse Site!
Mountains were viewed from horseback. Our trail ride included some gallops.

5.00Our guide told us stories as we rode our horses along the trail. We got a chance to gallop a couple of times. A very nice picnic was waiting for us as we got to the peak of a hill. From that Hill we were able to look out at the mountains that extended through the states of Sao Paulo, Minhas Gerais & Rio de Janeiro.

5.00Wonderful experience from beginning to end! Raul is an out-of-the-line host — welcoming, caring and conveying a huge love for the place and the animals. The horses are docile, calm and very well cared for, perfect even for those who have never had contact with them. The picnic is delicious and the surrounding landscape is simply stunning, with lively nature and a contagious peace. A tour that renews the soul and makes us want to come back soon. I highly recommend! 🙂

5.00Fantastic horse ride around Raul's property in the hills 45 minutes from Paraty. Raul is very friendly and clearly passionate about his land and his horses, both of which are really well cared for. The views as you ride are incredible, and Raul takes care to make sure you are comfortable with your horse, giving advice as well as explaining the plants, trees and wildlife that you see as you go. The picnic was a really nice touch, in a beautiful spot, and a great way to bring the ride to an end. Highly recommended, a highlight of our Brazil trip.

5.00Raul and his horses are the best! He's such a patient teacher, his 'garden' is absolutely beautiful and the two horses we rode Laredo and Universe are super calm and well trained. It made for a wonderful experience. The picnic towards the end of the ride is really well put together and the setting where you eat it, taking in the view is special. I really cannot recommend Raul highly enough! ❤️
