Your tour includes a portable lunch. It consists of a turkey sandwich on organic whole wheat bread, fruit, freshly baked cookie, and bottled water. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available with 48 hours advance notice.
This tour requires a certain amount of walking on uneven and rocky surfaces.
Motorized wheelchairs or scooters cannot be accommodated.
A minimum of 2 people is required for tour to run.

Enjoy a small group photography tour in the stunning Chilkat Valley. Your expert photographer guide will assist you in capturing the best of the Chilkat Valley's unique attractions. Your guide has scouted out the best areas for the day's photo shoot. Since this is a exclusive tour, you will be able to work directly with the guide to decide which locations and subject matter you want to focus on. Depending on the lighting and weather, different locations in the Chilkat Valley boast specific photographic highlights. May, June, and July feature wildflowers and bald eagles. Beginning in August, pink salmon begin their run up the Chilkoot River to spawn and brown bear often come down to the river to feed. When bears are present, every effort will be made to give you safe bear viewing and photography. The theme is flexibility, fun and learning. A simple point and shoot camera or smartphone will work, but by all means, bring all your photo gear.

5.00If you want to see sights that are not available to the causal observer, then this tour is the one for you! Joe Uchytil was our guide. He was FANTASTIC! Not only did he show us some unbelievable sights to photograph, he was a wealth of knowledge regarding the area. We came away with not only beautiful photos, but also a better understanding of the geography, people, and history of Skagway. Not only did we stop at some of the obvious scenic lookouts, Joe made a couple of stops in the middle of nowhere where we saw some amazing sights. One in particular was a stop to view and photograph two young eaglets just out of the nest! This is a sight I guarantee only Joe and his partner knew about. Along the way Joe would also sprinkle in valuable photography tips and tricks based on his background as a professional photographer. We had people with just phones, and people with professional looking gear, and everything in between. You don’t have to be a seasoned photographer to enjoy this tour. This is a relatively easy tour as we rode out to the sights in a van. There were some short hikes that most people would easily be able to manage. If you’re going to visit Skagway, then you MUST book this trip and ask for Joe!

5.00Our guide Karla took us to many beautiful locations on this tour. Karla was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited as well professional in her driving and keeping us safe. I would take this tour again when we revisit the area.

5.00The other folks for our tour did not show Carnival paid the minimum we were able to do our photography tour of the Yukon with Pat. Pat took us to some amazingly scenic places helped us take some amazing photographs of the beauty around us. His knowledge of the area and the history was outstanding. We had a wonderful trip would suggest anyone who loves beautiful scenery and taking wonderful pictures spend time with these folks

5.00My wife and I just finished a great tour with Karla. She was a great guide, extremely personable and knowledgeable of Haines and the abundant wildlife in the area, as well as the amazing scenery. Michelle was also extremely helpful in setting up the trip, rebooking a couple of times as our travel plans changed. She was in contact with us regularly as the trip approached checking to see if we needed anything. A very positive experience and one that I highly recommend.

5.00You won’t be disappointed if you book a tour with Rainbow Glacier Adventures. I loved the small town feel and appreciated Joe’s passion of ensuring his clients have an amazing adventure. Karla was an incredible guide. Very warm and welcoming and her knowledge of the area was thorough and interesting. She had a nice calm demeanor that made people feel at ease. I really enjoyed myself and I got some incredible photos during the tour.

5.00We truly enjoyed the tour. Pat took us to an area where we saw several eagles. We also photographed waterfalls and the landscape around. He was very knowledgeable about photography and was willing to share.

5.00This was a great tour of Haines and the local area. Pat K. was our tour guide. We saw so many eagles. He would stop often and even turning around when he spotted an eagle next to the shore. Small group size of 12 made it more personable. Easy tour that made great use of the 3 hours.
