Discover the outer Hauraki Gulf aboard the 41-foot catamaran Pacific Star, with daily departures from Waiheke Island.
Your charter is for exclusive use of the yacht with two crew (captain and host).
We can stop at a pest-free island for a guided walk, plus you’ll have opportunities for swimming, snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding.
Our guide will help you learn about the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park, its islands and people. You’ll spot seabirds and may see dolphins, and even whales, as we glide along with the wind in our sails.
This is the only day sailing trip offered in the outer gulf and departing from Waiheke Island.
If you’d like to take the helm or help us trim the sails, skipper Bruce will show you the ropes.
Your itinerary will depend on the wind direction and weather, so that we can give you the most enjoyable and comfortable experience.

5.00Wonderful day of sailing with Captain Bruce on his spacious, first rate catamaran!! Sail; anchor at island & walk; sail again; anchor for excellent lunch & swim; sail more. Bruce is gracious and highly experienced. 3 other guests. If you want to go sailing in 🇳🇿, absolutely go with Bruce. Highest possible recommendation.

5.00Our captain was professional and friendly. After moving our sailing several times due to weather, it was worth the weight. We saw dolphins, Penquins, stingrays and sharks. We snokeled, kayaked, and paddle board in addition to our beautiful sail.

5.00Great Day and Service Even though the day was a bit cloudy and windy our hosts, Bruce and Renee provided an exceptional day of fun and siteseeing for us. We went around the Noises Islands and then had lunch in the cove of Rakino. Lunch was a light fare with a fantastic salad and lots of meats and cheeses, pumpkin sourdough bread, hummus, and fresh salmon. We also had sparkling Ice Tea made right on the island! Loved our sailing adventure!

5.00I had a wonderful time on this trip. My friend sand I had the flexibility of choosing where to dock, it was peaceful and good times. Theres a paddle board and kayak, as well as snorkel gear to enjoy. Bruce and Renee are very knowledgeable and helpful

5.00We had a perfect day with Captain Bruce and Renee! They could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We had fun swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, and relaxing on the boat. The lunch spread was a delicious surprise, too. We couldn't have enjoyed this experience more!

5.00Absolutely fabulous day out in the Hauraki Gulf. Snorkeling, paddleboarding, doubles kayak, great food, great boat. The skipper Peter and his assistant, Renee we gracious hosts. We all had an amazing day. Highly recommend this for anyone. We were part of a 21st and it was just a truly wonderful day for us all.

5.00Honestly this was a perfect day. It was my daughter's 21st and Bruce, our skipper, was really experienced which made us all completely relax cos he was all over it - where to go, when to go and he was super flexible with the large'ish group we had. We snorkeled, swam, and floated about on the SUP and the kayak. Such fun and we felt the boat was a perfect size. Renee was fantastic as well and pre-empted everyones needs beautifully. Karen was incredibly helpful in the office and responded quickly and efficiently. Hats off to Terra and Tide - we would go again in a heartbeat! EVERYONE had a wonderful day and my daughter said it was one of the best days EVER!

5.00We had the most extraordinary experience on our boat excursion today. Bruce was an exemplary captain and host and showed us the best time! The boat was beautiful and clean and Bruce provided us with so much information about the islands. He also presented us with the most gorgeous spread for lunch. I would highly recommend working with this company. Five stars!
