Santa Maria
Santa Maria Salt Flats It consists of a protected area covering 69 hectares. Santa Maria was founded in 1830 for the production of salt. Up to 30,000 tons of salt were shipped from Santa Maria each year.
Murdeira
This is a small village on the island of Sal, once a small fishing village. Nowadays it is a private development that led to the construction of a tourist village by the sea. The village is situated on the west coast, 8 km south of the island's capital Espargos and 10 km north of Santa Maria. Approximately halfway along the island's main highway.

From the first moment, the fun and energy of it splashed out. Mayara and her team are incredibly skilled; they know everything about the island, its history and its hidden gems. What really sets them apart is the passion with which they work. You're not a "number," you're a guest. The atmosphere was relaxed all day and very cozy. Thanks to their local knowledge and bright smiles, this was the absolute highlight of our holiday. An absolute must for anyone who wants to discover the real Sal!"

5.00We really enjoyed our kid friendly day tour together with guide Kendall. If you want to make a tour, I would definitely recommend Logan Tours! Setting your own pace with your own group instead of having to follow the pace of a large group. Before the tour WhatsApp contacted and got all the information about where we would go, what the possible extra costs are, how you can pay. We could even indicate which car we wanted to go with. That became the pick-up truck because my daughters loved being able to sit in the trunk 😁 We ended our visit to Sal in a perfect way with the main sights.

5.00Our experience with Logan Tours was really excellent. From the moment of arrival to departure everything was arranged to perfection. The transfer from the airport to the hotel went smoothly and comfortably, which immediately gave a nice start to the holiday. The half-day island tour was particularly rewarding. Thanks to the Dutch-speaking guide, we got a lot of interesting explanations and saw beautiful locations, such as the salt lake, lemon sharks and the famous Blue Eye. Everything was calm and professionally supervised. In addition, we greatly enjoyed the adults only catamaran trip. Perfectly organized and ideal for relaxing completely. Also the transport back to the airport was well arranged and fully on time. Logan Tours is a reliable and professional organization that knows exactly how to give guests a carefree and beautiful holiday. Definitely recommended! 🌞🌊

4.00Sal is mainly sand and salt, sun and wind. A holiday especially for rest and sun. Not much to experience. If you miss surfing, you can indulge yourself here.

5.00Having done a great deal of research ahead of our arrival into Cape Verde I picked Logan Tours for our tour of the island. What a find. Kendal, our host for the day from Logan Tours, gave us a truly memorable day exploring Cape Verde. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure all guests had a wonderful experience. Highlights included visiting Palmeira the fishing port, seeing the yellow sharks and floating in the salt mine. He managed to negotiate being able to drive his vehicle all the way into the salt mines (not something any other tour company was able to do) as my mother has limited mobility. Without this she wouldn't have made the long walk down. Logan Tours are totally professional, informative, and friendly. Absolutely delighted I chose them.

5.00We booked the full day tour, turtle watch & horseriding through Emmanuel & couldn’t be happier. Emmanuel was so friendly & gave us lots of tips & useful info & made sure we were collected on time each day & checked we had enjoyed each experience. For the tour our guide was Patrick & we couldn’t have asked for a friendlier more knowledgeable & personable guide. He was fantastic & genuinely such a lovely person. Thank you both for giving us such great experiences.

Apart from the facts about the highlights of Sal visited, lots of background information about life, culture and what is already on the mind of the islanders.
