An essential excursion, a unique place in Latin America. It's worth waking up early, it's worth dressing up warm to weather the -10 degree temperatures. A wonderful environment that offers the opportunity to be very close to different types of geysers that very early in the morning offer impressive fumaroles. The tours that offer a breakfast there give a plus for being in an impressive place.
Yerbas Buenas Petroglyphs
This expedition will also allow us to visit the petroglyphs of Hierbas Buenas of great historical importance based on rock art, where the Atacameño people left a vestige of their culture through these (place of great geological content).

1.00I am very disappointed with both the Rainbow Valley tour and the complete lack of follow-up from this agency. I understand that your tours operate without separate drivers and that the guide also serves as the driver. This arrangement worked out ok during my Red Rock tour on Tuesday. However, on the Rainbow Valley tour, this setup significantly affected the quality of the experience. During the most important part of the tour — the second half — our guide had to leave the group in order to drive the vehicle to the ending point. This meant we were left without a guide during what should have been the highlight of the experience. I noticed that other tour groups had guides accompanying them the entire time, which made the difference in service very clear. I traveled in Chile for 16 days and joined many tours during my trip. This was the only agency that did not provide both a driver and a guide, and unfortunately, it showed in the overall quality of the experience. This significantly reduced the value of the tour and left me feeling disappointed. What is even more concerning is that I contacted the agency afterward to express my concerns and received no response at all. A travel company should stand behind its service and communicate with its customers, especially when issues are raised. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this agency.

5.00Had a wonderful morning tour to Rainbow Valley with Marta as our guide & Orlando as our driver. Prompt pickup at designated time, relaxing tour at a leisurely pace, Marta provided a lot of valuable information at each site, Orlando did a fantastic job as well. Special thanks to Orlando for laying out a hearty & delicious breakfast for all of us at Rainbow Valley. I would recommend this tour with Whipala Expedition if you are visiting San Pedro de Atacama.

5.00The Rainbow Valley trip was amazing, with so many colorful views of rocks. The dry waterfall was unforgettable. The Yerbas Buenas Petroglyphs reminded us of our human history and culture on the South American continent. The guide, Javier, was nice, experienced, and knowledgeable. He prepared a delicious breakfast for us. I highly recommend Whipala Expedition, the tour company that organized this trip. They provided clear instructions before the trip and communicated with me promptly. I even added more trips with them during my stay in San Pedro de Atacama. Their staff were professional and respectful. I enjoyed all the trips very much.

5.00I really enjoyed this trip. Alex, the guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. The location was very pretty and it was nice to just take a stroll in the peaceful scenery. My favorite part was seeing the petrogylphs and learning about the culture of the people who made them. I'm glad I had the opportunity to take this tour. And just in case you were wondering, the provided breakfast included hot drinks, bread, some eggs, some meats, and a couple other things.
