Our approach to surfing is a little different. All our lessons are personalised with lots of feedback and help throughout the session. We know the power of surfing, being in the Ocean and the positive impact that it can have on a person's life - we want you to have a chance to experience that!

Everyone’s experience is different and that’s why all our sessions are personal and tailored to you. The sessions are perfect for complete beginners right through to the more advanced beginner. Our special blend of personalised surf coaching and ocean awareness is why people come back again and again.

Our coaches are highly experienced and passionate about surfing and teaching. Kids and adults are both welcome.

Perfect for complete beginners and improver surfers. Learn to surf or take your surfing to the next level. Sessions times are 10am & 2pm depending on tides on the day of your booking. We will contact you after booking to confirm which time suits you. Hot showers and heated changing rooms are included. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM. We meet at the Rebelle HQ 15 minutes before the lesson start time to get checked in and suited up. After this we head to the beach together as a group with our surfboards to start the lesson. Each lesson begins on the beach with a safety briefing and full surfing lesson for 15/20 minutes. Then it’s into the Ocean for 80 minutes to continue instruction, practice what you learnt on the sand, have heaps of fun and catch lots of waves. Lessons are held in waist depth white water.

Michael was a wonderful instructor! So attentive and very encouraging. Melanie was informative and helpful. It was an overall amazing experience and so thankful for these memories. We hope to be back again and will definitely surf with Rebelle surf!

Rebelle Surf takes excellent care of the beginners and intermediates who want to test for a few hours whether they like surfing. Everything is there: Wetsuits, boards, changing rooms, showers, sun protection (if necessary) and friendly guides with expertise. Recommended!

We had the best time learning how to surf! Our family had never surfed before and we were given great instruction and they were so friendly and helpful. Our kids ages range from 7-11 and they each had a great time as well. Would highly recommend! They provide you with everything you need! The wetsuit was amazing! Would definitely do it again!

We had the best time learning how to surf with Rebelle Surf! The coaching was straight forward, the wet suits kept us warm, and the time flew by. Would highly recommend if staying in the Sligo area!

Had a fabulous lesson with a bunch of women who were all fairly new to surfing or had never surfed before. We were quickly kitted out in warm wetsuits, boots and gloves. The changing facilities are brand new and having hot showers at the end of the lesson is great. All levels are expertly catered for and I highly recommend Melanie and all her staff. You won’t find a friendlier bunch of people on the West coast.

Just back from a weekend of surf lessons with my 2 teenagers - they were the best surf lessons we have encountered - from start to finish. A warm welcome, great equipment and facilities, with hot showers for after! Amazing teaching style and incredibly well able to manage different levels of ability in a group and give everyone individual attention and and create a positive, friendly and fun atmosphere! We will be back and can't recommend enough!

It doesn’t get better than Melanie, Michael and the rest of the team. A great balance of safety and freedom to get on with it for all levels. Top notch for kids. Cant recommend enough.

Deb was a wonderful instructor! My friend and I were both surfing for the first time. She did a fantastic job explaining the basics, from technique to safety. We had a blast!!

Had the time of my life‼️. Been trying to surf on a pals board however, going on a lesson with Rebel Surf was amazballs ‼️😄..Great fun being with other people learning. Loads of advice from instructors. I practiced the techniques given then would nab an instructor and explain how far I was getting and the problem I was having. They watched and would advise me ..I was standing up in no time..Plenty of falling off too😂.. But that just needs more practice and another lesson.. Can't believe how much I'd improved. tbh, being with others learning made it great fun. Met people I know and some new ones too. Lots of banter, encouragement and most of all laugher..Will definitely be back for more. 👍😁 was buzzing after.. Slept well that night 💤😴😂 Thank you everyone 🙏🤗
