Fabulous. Not to be missed. A wonderful memory. I would suggest to future travellers to take fly spray.

We booked a combined deal with Rottnest ferries which included the ferry return journey from Freemantle, a Segway tour and cycle hire. What a fabulous day we had. We rode out to parakeet bay and enjoyed a lovely dip. The ferry ride back to Freemantle was a little hairy given the wind change but we felt safe in the hands of staff who were professional and helpful

The ferry in was fine. Allocation of bicycles and helmets was somewhat casual. Safety and care didn't seem to come into it. My bike had a loose seat post which made cycling a bit tricky! Directions weren't very clear away from the Port but we found our way eventually. The scenery was stunning and the swimming/ snorkeling beaches pristine and not overcrowded. The roads had just been resurfaced so were a tad dangerous. Generally views were stunning. And of course we saw quokkas along the way. The coffee truck near the lighthouse served excellent coffee. Lucy is a superb barista! The route through the centre of the island by the salt lakes was brilliant. Back at the ferry, reporting the faulty bike appeared routine, with compensation of a free drink on the ferry also routine. The ferry back was fun, if a little rough. A motorboat surfed in our wake, very entertaining.

I left from and was dropped off in Perth. The ride down the swan river is calm, but, if you get motion sickness, take Dramamine because you will get sick on the ocean. The island is beautiful, but harder to bicycle around than I anticipated. If you decide to go to the west end, take plenty of water. At least 2 liters. Worth the price.

Great day out some beautiful scenery, make sure your gears work on your bike mine didn’t which made it a little challenging up the hills.

Easy to book a ticket at the dock. Don’t hire bikes from boat company they are poor. Much better hire direct on the island when you get there.

Must do trip to Rotto, I was visiting WA for work and decided to book a day trip for my weekend. The ticket i purchased included bike and helmet hire; its a 30min ferry trip from Fremantle - if you get sea sick i recommend to have travel sickness medication before hand as several on my trip got sick. The bike ride around the island was beautiful but you do need moderate fitness to complete the full island as this is 23kms and is quite hilly. There is also a 10km island bike track for those not committed to the full 23km. Plenty of quokka to see around the main town, you don't need to look hard. Highly recommend if you get the chance.

Great day out, hired bikes and cycled part of the island. Had a dip in the crystal clear sea and saw the very cute quokka’s
