Experience Split Walking Tour is personalized small group tour with maximum of 12 participants guided by local professional historian in the See, Hear & Feel sense: See the sights, Hear the story & Feel the vibe.
With Master`s degree in history and working as a history teacher I was developing my professional and educational skills what helps me to guide my tours on See, Hear & Feel sense. On my tours participants are encouraged for active participation regardless they have questions or they just want to make an opinion.
On this tour I will guide you through the history of Split where I live all of my life and I will introduce you to all the relevant sights as well as with the interesting hidden gems of the city. Beside history and cultural themes as a main part of the tour, important part is also getting know about local mentality and everyday life with its own special characteristics.
Pictures & 3D images via display book will help you to perceive the history behind story.

The Golden Gate
We will meet at Golden Gate (not really made of gold but of stone), northern gate of the Diocletian`s Palace and one of the most known places in Split. Golden Gate are situated opposite to one more very known monument, Gregory of Nin. Here you will be introduced to the history of Split and importance of Golden Gate.
Grgur Ninski Statue
You will hear interesting story and facts about historical person Gregory of Nin, about highest monument in Split dedicated to him and about sculptor of the monument.

5.00Fun, interesting and informative. A good two-hour intro to Croatia from a local history teacher. Got to see (and learn background on) parts of the old city I would never otherwise have seen or understood. And yet not too serious.

5.00I can’t imagine a better way to explore Diocletians Palace than in a small group led by a historian. Boris, our guide, really brought to life the size and scope of the palace, the various temples in the palace grounds, and its strategic importance. This was an excellent tour.

5.00This tour was VERY worth our time! It actually ended up being closer to 2.5 hours. The tour guide was so informative not only about the history of the palace and split but also the geopolitical landscape and regional differences of Croatia. We had spent 8 days in Croatia prior to this tour so it was the perfect way to cap our experience. The tour guide was a history teacher before and it shows! He was engaging, and involved us in his tour. My husband and I loved it. Also he recommended some great restaurants and activities.

5.00Guide Boris was professional and knowledgeable and good having a small group. Boris explained all about the Roman ancient history but he made it fun and interesting. Would definitely recommend.
