We did the Tsum Valley Trek, the Poon Hill trek, and the Australian Base Camp walk with North Nepal Treks in November 2024 and were never disappointed. Everything was perfectly organized, and we especially appreciated the flexibility and constant attention to safety, including altitude sickness management. A big thank you to Mohan, the owner, whose personal concern for our safety and enjoyment made all the difference. We always felt cared for and could fully enjoy these unforgettable treks. Highly recommended! 10/10.

Another fantastic experience with North Nepal Trek. Every time I choose this and every time I am not disappointed. The preparation as well as the activity itself by the guides, porters and accommodations chosen by Mohan are perfect. And even if there is a calamity (our guide fell ill in Tsum Valley) Mohan provides a fantastic solution. What flexibility, solution orientation and service! Perfect! The only really good organization for climbing, (multi-day) treks and activities around Pokhara. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience with North Nepal Travel & Trek on the Manaslu Circuit. Mohan was great with communication, and he even took us out to dinner after the trek to hear about our adventure! Our guide, Jeewan, made the journey unforgettable with his knowledge, positivity, and organization. Our porters, Basanta and Milen, were fantastic—Basanta kept us smiling every day, and Milen, or "Mountain Ferrari," amazed us with his strength and kindness. We can’t wait for our next trip with them to Pikey Peaks. Highly recommend North Nepal Travel & Trek for a well-organized and memorable trek!

This was my third trip to Nepal, so I can compare. North Nepal Travel And Treks – very good tour company. Organisation of our treck was exellent. Lalu - the best guid! He is very professional, pleasant and, in total, like a caring nanny. Tho porters - cheerful, attentive, also very caring. When I had a health problem on the route – they acted immediately and very effectively. They not only quickly took me to the hospital and accompanied me there, but also promptly changed the route for the rest of the participants, so everyone was very satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Just came back from Manaslu circuit excellent arranged by Mohan at North Nepal Treks. Two weeks in heaven together with and old friend and a new one - our guide Zeewan - superman on the planet - and a caring mountain man. We chose North Nepal treks advised from my daugther and her fiance who went on the same trip 6 months earlier after scanning the market of agiencies together with recommendations from her friends. Was our jubilee trip after our Annapurna circuit trip 40 years ago. Meaning we are 64 years old, but still relatively fit and running marathons though. Everything went smooth and easy. We want to go again but only with this company. Seriously Hi from Hans and Chris from Denmark

My partner and I joined another couple on the Manaslu + Tsum Valley trek with Raj! Raj was absolutely amazing to work, after having a terrible experience with a previous guide he was a breathe of fresh air— both because of his excellence as a guide, and because of his kindness as a person. I think he’s a perfect guide if you’re new or relatively new to trekking (it was my first time!) but might be a little slow if —like my partner — you’ve been doing this a long time and want to push the pace. With Raj you can expect: -receiving a clear itinerary every evening about what to expect from the next day’s hike -little cultural language snidbits and quizzes 😁 - help even when you’re doing foolish things against advisement, like crossing a River (thanks again for creating that stone path for me Raj). - emotional elegance. Raj is open and quick to smile but can also handle corrupt police for you 💪🏽. - someone truly caring who wants to share his culture with you. -good English :).

We did the Manaslu + Tsum valley trek (17 days) with Raj Rai in April 2023. We had a great experience, and Raj was amazing. Here is why: - Raj's English is great (very important and not to be taken for granted among guides!) - Raj is very attentive and talkative, yet also has a great respect for privacy and personal space. Very socially intelligent and nice to be around. Raj solved everything calmly and elegantly and he even solved conflicts arising in other trekking groups when necessary. - Raj is very aware of atmosphere and hygiene when selecting accomodation. If the kitchen is questionable or the food is simply just taking too long, he'll jump in the kitchen and cook himself, for you and even for other clients (he is a chef and had his own restaurant a few years back) - Raj was thorough in briefing us every evening and having a "how was the day" meeting. He was genuinely interested in our experience and wanted our feedback, whether good or bad. - Raj explained local culture and customs underway, and also gave us a lot of extra info about Nepalese culture, politics and social problems, as he could feel we were interested also in knowing the less fortunate stuff about Nepalese society. - Raj was very aware of safety. He has experience as a climber and is more than competent enough as a trekking guide. We felt very safe walking with Raj over the 5100 meter high Larkye La pass in terms of avalanche danger and altitude. Overall, we'd recommend Raj to anyone.
