  This company put us in touch with Coral Diving Team. The idea of a central company to contact other dive shops on the island is a good one, but they should ensure they work with reputable dive companies. Coral Dive Company were not. Blue Water Adventures also provided misleading information about the type of dive, and the pickup place. As a result we spent two hours whilst the dive company collected other divers, and generally got themselves organised. They were also half an hour late collecting us. We were told we would do a dive according to our experience. But the reality is we were put in a group with very inexperienced divers. We are not mega experts, but have Open Water, and had done excellent dives elsewhere in Mauritius to 18m (not with this company). This dive was very shallow (mostly around 6m) and the instructors were standing all over the seabed and corals during the dive. A really disappointing experience, I would not recommend. To cap it all off, I told the WhatsApp contact that they had provided inaccurate information about the pickup point. They responded that it was my fault for not understanding them properly, until I copied and pasted the messages which demonstrated their error. The BCS was faulty, with leaks and a missing buckle. Save your time whilst in Mauritius, and basically do anything else but book with this dive company - they are sharks (pun intended). The reason for a two star review and not one is that the staff were reasonably polite - and I imagine it is not their fault that they work for such a bad company.

  Big thanks to Aurélie and Paul working at the Laguna Hotel (Camp des Pêcheurs) site in GRSE, who helped us make the most of our trip. Especially Aurélie who was able to organise a diving trip for me (PADI OW qualified) and my non-diver partner (2 dives for me and a training dive for him in the morning joining me for a shallower dive for the 2nd dive). We also did the 5 islands tour booking through Aurélie (and only the a day or 2 before, she worked hard to make it happen!) And highly recommend you do that while on the island. Thank you Aurélie from Blue World Explorer for making our trip so very special! (Some photos included from the 5 islands / cinq îles tour). Thank you and I hope we will be back one day!   Sasha and the team were amazing - they were great and teaching and at leading the dives! Will definitely be coming back for my next Mauritius dives

  This review is given with a lot of thought and consideration for the content. I can 100% state I would not use this "Dive Centre" again. Or recommend them. It lacked care, communication, safety and was ridiculously expensive, and they charged more than was quoted. My partner and I travelled to Mauritius in January and stayed at the Intercontinental. They had a dive centre (Shack) on site and I enquired before I left the UK and was given pictures of the boat. Looked ok, reasonable, and advised that its back roll, which I dont particularly like, however they said they would assist. I am AOW however havent done a vast amount of dives, approx 50 and hadnt dived in a while. The "Dive Shack" lacked main facilities, lacked English speaking staff, and most of all lacked good service. For the first dive we didnt go out on the boat initially stated, and our dive guide spoke no English at all. The Dive itself was horrendus, no proper briefing, and due to the weather (which of course the dive centre can not control) it was extremley choppy!! My equipment is old, and the regulator was whistling throughout the dive, making me feel very unconfident with their annual checks. The worst part was resurfacing, we came up and the boat was no where to be seen. Being on the surface of a really really choppy ocean for over 10 minutes with huge waves was not a good experience. The Inflatable signalling tube was up, however we were still awaiting the boat. Trying to get back on this tiny boat, where the waves are smashing me up against it, and them not giving me any briefing on how to embark back onto the boat was not acceptable. I am used to holding the ladder, taking my fins off, passing them up. They were just shouting, of which I couldnt hear due to the waves around my head, and by the time I got up on the boat I was having a full blown panic attack. This wasnt dealt with very well, and I did not go out on a second dive. And to add injury to insult they charged us extra as it was what they called a Safari Dive!! I am 100% - Messages on my phone they did not advise us of this additional Rs 2000 on top of the diving, on top of the transfer cost. Lack of clear communcication, lack of care, my most disappointing Diving Experience ever. I have dived in various places in the world, and this Dive centre did not meet even basic requirments, in my opinion. No resolve from the "management"

• Excellent equipment and expertise. Even on a day with uncertain weather it was a great experience

  In the day with intense wind and tides in Mahébourg, thanks to the network of the Centre, we moved to Flic en Flac where it was more sheltered. All materials were of excellent quality. Cathedral and Aquarium dives with ruined vegetation but fish wonder. Adequate prices, especially given the transport from one part of Mauritius to the other, and the fact that I was practically alone, out of hours compared to other divers.

  Superior dives!!. If you want to try out diving, this is the very good place. Instructors care that you know everything needed to dive safely and have fun. If you are an experienced diver, They know all the spots for a great dive and They will make sure you have a fantastic experience. For me, I like to be back here again, becouse people working for blueworldexplorers have a passion for diving and a passion for people who want to dive.

  I was nervous before going to Mauritius so I contacted several dive shops, only two responded. One of them was Blue World. They coincidentally had a dive shop location at my hotel which worked out PERFECTLY! We got multiple dive packages as we were already certified divers. They worked with us for our timing and desires (three dives a day, night dives) and we had no trouble when we went to Flic en Flac and used the Blue World dive shop there. Things run on island time but there was no need to worry- everything was well taken care of, never had any problems. Helpful people, equipment was good, no problems at all. We are so glad we went with them and would highly recommend them to anyone! Surprisingly reasonable prices too!
