Dadiani Palaces Historical and Architectural Museum

Dadiani Palaces History and Architectural Museum is a Georgian national museum located in Zugdidi. The Dadiani Palaces History and Architecture Museum is considered to be one of the most eminent palaces in Caucasus. It is a Neo Gothic building. The Dadiani Palaces History and Architecture Museum houses some exhibits of natural cultural heritage of Georgia – Tagiloni treasure materials, Mother of God holy vesture, the icon of queen Bordokhan – mother of queen Tamar of Georgia, manuscripts from 13th – 14th centuries, miniatures, memorial relics of Dadiani dynasty, and objects connected to emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful courtyard and a botanical garden

River Enguri

The Enguri Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Enguri River in Tsalenjikha, Georgia. Currently, it is the world's second highest concrete arch dam with a height of 271.5 metres. It is located north of the town of Jvari. It is part of the Enguri hydroelectric power station (HES) which is partially located in Abkhazia. Construction of the Enguri dam began in 1961 and was completed in 1977. At that time, the construction was unprecedented for its scale and ambition.

Mestia

Mestia is a highland townlet in northwest Georgia, at an elevation of 1,500 metres in the Caucasus Mountains. The population is mostly Svans, a cultural and linguistic subgroup of the Georgians. Despite its small size, the townlet was an important centre of Georgian culture for centuries and contains a number of medieval monuments, such as churches and forts, included in a list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.The townlet is dominated by stone defensive towers of a type seen in Ushguli and Mestia proper ("Svan towers"). A typical Svan fortified dwelling consisted of a tower, an adjacent house (machubi) and some other household structures encircled by a defensive wall. Mestia is also a centre of mountaineering tourism.

We will visit the Tetlund ski resort, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the best ski trails in the world. If you have no experience, we will teach you how to ski and also provide you with ski equipment.

House-Museum of Georgian climber, honored master of sports of the USSR international class and rock tiger is located in Mestia, Svaneti. The memorial house-museum was organized in Khergiani's native house in 1985. The first floor of the museum exhibits the personal belongings of the famous climber, International Master of Sports Mikheil Khergiani (1932-1969): clothes, climbing equipment, photos, awards, gifts - including recording of Vladimir Vysotsky's song, which he dedicated to Khergiani, and others

The ski resort Hatsvali – Mestia is located in Mestia. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 5.5 km of slopes available. 4 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,868 and 2,348 m. Guests will also have opportunity to take the cable car up to Hatsvali – tall mountain with a stunning panoramic view of the Ushba peak

Becho

Becho, the community strung up the Dolra valley west of‚ Mestia, is a very beautiful area with some wonderful walks that unites thirteen villages. The spectacular, twin-peaked‚ Ushba (4700 m), Georgias toughest and most dangerous mountaineering challenge, towers at the head of the valley. The highest village in the valley, Mazeri, is the best base for several most beautiful Svaneti trekking routes. It is situated about 20 km from‚ Mestia, 1600 meters above sea, and surrounded by wide green meadows and snow-capped mountain peaks.

Ushba waterfall (Shdugra) is the most affluent waterfall in whole Georgia. Located in Svaneti, near Mazera village. You can reach both, the bottom of the waterfall, as the overhead of it. If you get overhead, you will be able to see the glacier at the bottom of the Ushba, also, wonderful views all over the Svaneti. The path, which leads you to the waterfall, is about 3 kilometers long, (with one direction). If you want to get to the head of the waterfall, then you will have to walk extra 3 kilometers. The last part of the path belongs to medieval complexity. Also, you will have to cross the river, but believe me, it’s worth seeing. Ushguli

Ushguli is the highest populated place in Europe. This place is included in the list of world researches of UNESCO. Located at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level. It is here that the most outstanding of the towers of Svaneti, the residential towers of King Tamar, built at the turn of the 12th-13th centuries. The Lamaria religious complex (named for the goddess Lamaria in Svaneti mythology) is located on a hilltop dominating the village. The chapel dates back to the 12th century and contains Georgian Golden Age-era frescoes.

Love Tower

According to the legend, long ago, there were a young man and a woman who lived in upper and lower village on the Enguri river fell in love. As the both villagers did not consent to their marriage. They made their house (this tower) on this river bank between the villages and lived. The residents of this village, Bogreshi village-Iphari Community, are their descendant now.

Ushguli Ethnographic Museum
