Transportation is only included if selected in advance to secure your spot. It comes at an additional cost. There is no Uber, taxi, or public transportation available in the area.
All our groups are 14 people or smaller, for more attention to the guests.
Transportation is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, or for PM tours, and is subject to availability if it was not selected at the time of booking.
Children under 5 years old are not allowed to participate in this tour.

Embark on an unforgettable El Yunque Rainforest adventure on a small-group guided tour from San Juan, Carolina, Luquillo or Fajardo. The experience begins at your selected location—either by following the guide in your own car from Ralph’s Food Warehouse in Fajardo, or by choosing optional shuttle pickup from San Juan, Carolina, Luquillo or Fajardo for a scenic ride into the rainforest. Upon arrival at El Yunque National Forest, receive a safety briefing and life vest before starting a guided hike through lush jungle trails. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the rainforest’s history, wildlife, ecosystem, local legends, and fascinating rainforest plants. After about 25 minutes of hiking, reach a hidden natural pool where you can swim, cliff jump, or swing into the water on a rope swing. Continue to a second secluded pool featuring a smooth volcanic rock natural waterslide. Guests who select the San Juan / Carolina transportation option will also enjoy a stop at the famous Luquillo Kiosks, known for authentic Puerto Rican food, tropical drinks, and views of Luquillo Beach. After the adventure, hike back and enjoy light snacks before returning.

Luquillo Beach Break: Swim, eat, and unwind before heading back stress-free. Must select this transport option before booking to secure spot.
Duration: 6 hours: Includes 1 hour stop in 'Luquillo Beach' to relax by the sea and taste authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.
From San Juan or Carolina: Ride in a comfortable vehicle to El Yunque.

5.00Amazing experience with a wonderful guide, Miga. He was knowledgeable, kind, and able to move a group of 15 people with various degrees of ability with grace. We loved learning about plants on the way to the water fall slides and pools. Was a perfect day!

5.00Iván is an amazing guide! He mixes facts and history with humor and love. He puts care into his tour and the whole experience was amazing. Definitely recommend doing everything there is to offer on the tour like the rock slides and the rope swing! The rainforest is a beautiful place. Also super convenient that travel is offered!

5.00Brittany was a confident, experienced guide that kept everyone calm even in the risky parts. She was strong and got 9 grown me. Even over the tougher parts to climb. A great adventure that we will talk about for a long long time.

5.00We had an excellent and memorable experience. Migael hands down the best guide. It was a small group which I recommend. I saw other larger groups but with our size you get more personal attention and really get to enjoy it without the rush or large crowd. You will definitely get soaked and muddy. If you don't want to mess up your gym shoes, then get good THREAD water shoes/boots. Again you will get soaked. Bring a water bag if you want to carry something that will also get wet. We hike up steep stairs, climb boulders, cross river banks, but honestly our guide was excellent and patient!! He also very knowledgeable showed us different plants- mori vivir, edible native flowers, the benefits of the mud, etc. If you're able to request I would definitely ask for Migael and Claire.
Recommended for those who are physically fit.

5.00This was a very fun adventure but it is not for those who are not physically fit or young. We took a challenging path into the rainforest--it was certainly more fun than just walking in on the regular path but it would not have been for everyone. The guide was nice and helpful. Natural rock slide was super cool!

5.00Our guide Claire was outstanding! Very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! Directions for meeting were easy to follow! The hike and climb were more than I bargained for! The college kids did fine! The climbing parts in the water are slippery and narrow. Our guide was really helpful with lending a hand (literally) and adjusting to our pace. It was a very cool hike and definitely worth the effort! It was great to have a small group! Going early in the morning is a good idea! It was packed as we were exiting. This trip goes into a private entrance, not through the national park entrance. Would recommend!

5.00Great time with tour guide Brittany, well experienced guide who knew everyone else on the path, even though there can be a lot of groups going at the same time - she navigated us through them expertly. BRING YOUR OWN CAR (partly self-drive, a group got turned away in the beginning and the directions to provide your own car in the ad are very clear; beware some potholes upon entering the park), BE ABLE to climb some easy rocks and WEAR WATER SHOES from the start - you end up wading through water pretty quickly after a 20 ish minute hike - other than that the directions and logistics were flawless

5.00MegAel was a great guide! Very knowledgeable about the forest and its vegetation. He was very patient as most in our party were 55-70 years old. The excursion and sights were amazingly beautiful! Loved every second of this.
