  We had a lovely time in this intimate wine tasting experience. We are not experts on the subject matter of wine or its production so we really appreciate that our host adjusted the level of discussion to something more appropriate for beginners. It was a pleasure to discover and taste Hungarian wines of high quality. The atmosphere was light and fun yet very informative.

  This is a wonderful wine tasting for Americans, as the wine guide grew up in Washington and speaks flawless English. The tasting is held in a small wine bar on a quiet street. The bar owner was our wine guide. He also grows his own grapes and bottles his own wine. He started by asking us what wines we liked to drink and catered the tasting from there. I lost count of how many wines we tasted. Maybe 9-10. At many wine tastings, they try to get you to buy wine. Not here! Just sip, taste and learn.   It was really amazing. We went to the tasting with 4 people, the Bar Tender made a really individual tasting. He has a well knowledge of wine and could explain us a lot. Furthermore he made snacks with cheese and olives. It was great experience, I certainly can recommend it.

  The tasting was so instructive and fun, filled with great anecdotes and stories! The wines were perfectly selected, all of them being excellent. Without a doubt one of the best things I experienced in Budapest! Will definitely do it again if I come back :)

  Mark was an amazing host! He is very experienced and knowledgeable in the industry. I was able to taste a variety of wines from the region, including his own. It was a great experience overall - the atmosphere, the wines and most importantly, the conversations. Definitely a great place for wine tasting. Would like to try their cocktails (not included in tasting) when I’m back next!

  We had a wonderful time during our wine tasting - tasted delicious wines and had an interesting conversation. Mark is very knowledgeable and asks about your preferences first and customizes the types of wines for tasting based on a conversation and momentarily inspiration. We tasted types of wines we have never tasted before. Also, the snacks were very delicious. I highly recommend this wine tasting experience.

  Enjoy exceptional wines? Want to experience/learn Hungarian wines? Appreciate a cozy cool environment? Enjoy talking with awesome humans? Want to support those awesome humans in their business? YOU NEED TO GO TO PRESS HOUSE 47! I found this place in planning our Budapest vacation and the experience FAR exceeded my already very high expectations! We enjoyed a wide range of white, red (and even Orange) wines and their interesting explanation and presentation by co-owner Mark, who is really a great guy. Even some yummy sandwiches prepared by him as we sipped! I just can't say enough good things about this place. Spent the rest of our time in Budapest recommending it to folks we met. Press House 47 is also Parle wine/cocktail bar, an intimate 13-seat establishment with a very cool vibe that serves great wines as well as a wide range of bespoke and very affordable cocktails. Be sure to check them out... you'll be glad you did!

  We attended as a large group for a celebration. We were welcomed to an intimate and quirky bar with clear attention to detail. Mark was very knowledgable giving an understandable but interesting overview of the process and characteristics of wine-making. As well as specifically with Hungarian wines we tasted.. we were able to ask lots of questions! The wines we tried were delicious and plentiful, including Mark’s own wine, as well as some delicious bar snacks. We enjoyed so much we stayed for extra wine and cocktails- thank you! 10/10 would recommend.

  Would highly recommend visiting Press House 47, we went as a hen party group and the bride loved it! Mark chose an excellent selection of wines and was a generous host :) The cocktails after the wine tasting experience were also fab!
