  I highly recommend doing this Kanazawa walking tour. Yuri San is a lovely, thoughtful guide, and she truly made our time in Kanazawa special and memorable. She would patiently explain the history, share interesting stories about the place and culture, and carefully curate the tour to suit us! Before the tour date, she reached out to plan the day with us! And she has surprised us by taking candid photos of us during the tour and sharing those precious photos with us, of course carefully asking for our consent before hand. Kanazawa has a rich history, and doing a walking tour with a guide like Yuri San is a great way to explore a beautiful place like Kanazawa.

  You can see that Yuri is very passionate about her town and it was a real pleasure to walk around with her and listen to her explanations. We even got to see a gold artisan working and unique artworks and landmarks i wouldn't have seen or notice otherwise. She was also great with the kids in our little group! Very nice experience. Thank you!

  Such a wonderful tour! We learnt so much about Kanazawa and saw lots of beautiful sites. Yuri is so kind and knowledgable and the tour was perfect for our family - thank you!

  Yuri picked us up on time at our hotel and we then had a wonderful 90-min walking tour of Kanazawa. We visited a shrine, the Geisha zone, the tea zone and a site where gold leaves are made. All accompanied by a historical background from Yuri. Great value for money and the kids (9,7 and 4) loved it, which is not always the case! Highly recommend

  We had a short tour with Yuri where she took us to see how gold leaf was made! We walked through the geisha district and had so much fun! Thank you again Yuri taking your time to show us around! And for all the information!

  The tour of Kanazawa with Yuri was amazing! She met us at our hotel and showed us all around the samurai district, Kanazawa garden and castle, the Omicho fish market (where we got to try a number of Kanazawa specialty dishes), and geisha districts. Along the way, we got to visit a local kutani shop, a gold leaf store/museum, and a sake brewery. It was great to learn the history and culture from a local. Yuri was very friendly, informative and considerate even bringing us bottled water, offering to take pictures of us, and giving us small treats. Highly recommend!   We had the most wonderful experience on our private walking tour of Kanazawa with our guide, Yuri. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of the city's history and culture truly brought every site to life. It felt less like a guided tour and more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend. She completely tailored the tour to our interests, seamlessly blending major highlights like the Omicho Market, Kenrokuen Garden, the Castle and Samurai District with hidden gems we never would have found on our own. She even went above and beyond, making an excellent reservation for us at a local sushi restaurant and captured beautiful photos throughout the day. Arigato gozaimasu for making this a memorable day!

  Yuri was a great guide for our party of four. From a logistics perspective, she was very responsive and clear in the planning of the tour on whatsapp. The time spent was very interactive and Yuri was very responsive to our interests and pacing. We modified on the fly and took taxis when appropriate as it was a rainy and cold day Yuri took us to the castle, the Samurai District and the Giesha District. After that we walked up to a hidden temple that was a special treat and then a gold leaf exhibit. Yuri was incredibly personable and warm. She was a true pleasure to have as a guide.

  We had an amazing time with Yuria - a local of Kanazawa. She was the perfect guide to present us her hometown, not to mention she is also a very cheerful and lovely presence 🙂. We felt as if we were spending time with a friend and that time flew so fast 🙂. We had the chance to see hidden gems of the city, as well as to learn more fascinating details about their culture, history and religion. We wish we had more time available. We would recommend her to anyone.
