Zazamalala Wildlife Centre
Your guide will accompany you on a peaceful walk through the trails of Zazamalala, just 35 km from Morondava. You will explore a preserved dry forest, one of the last in the region, where you can observe 11 species of lemurs, rare turtles such as the flat-tailed tortoise, large chameleons, and a variety of uncommon birds and reptiles. It is the perfect outing to slow down, connect with nature, learn about local conservation efforts, and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by wildlife and native plants.
Your guide will take you to the famous Baobab Amoureux, located just a few kilometers from the Avenue of the Baobabs. Here, two majestic baobabs embrace, their trunks intertwined like two lovers united for eternity. According to a Sakalava legend, they were once two young lovers from rival families. Their wish to stay together was granted by the gods: transformed into trees, they now stand entwined forever.
