This adventure takes us through solitary rainforests, fertile fields of crop and through wild, dry acacia rich savannah, which is the home of the Maasai. I recently joined a 6-day cycling adventure with Oclaa Adventures Tanzania, and it was truly an incredible journey of exploration, endurance, and connection with nature. Every single day offered a new landscape, new faces, and new stories to tell. From pedaling through the breathtaking foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, riding across open savannahs dotted with wildlife, to experiencing the warm hospitality of local communities — this trip perfectly blended adventure, culture, and nature. The Oclaa Adventures team was exceptionally professional — our guide ( George and Rashid ) were knowledgeable, friendly, and deeply passionate about what they do. The support vehicle, accommodation, and meals were all well-organized, ensuring comfort after long rides. Each moment reminded me how cycling is not just about the ride — it’s about connecting deeply with the land and people of Tanzania. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just an adventure lover, this tour will leave you inspired and refreshed. Highly recommended! 🚴♀️✨

The 12 day Tour (a Mix of cycling 360 Kilimanjaro and lake Natron) was amazing. The Guide and driver (George and Rashid) had a lot of knowledge, were always super nice, reliable and took great care of me. We had unbelievable tracks, views and a lot of fun. I will miss both of them!!! They were sooo great. The tour (good bikes, support vehicle incl fruit stops etc) was very well organized, i have no criticism. Thank you so so much guys! Octavian, the owner of the company, was very nice and helpful as well: whenever I had a question, he was replying very fast and reliable and managed everything perfect. I was really in luck to do my tour with OCLAA :-)

What an experience this has been. Octavian and his team have really treated us with all the good things the Kilimanjaro area has to offer. We (a family with 2 children aged 10 and 11) were picked up right on time, transported to a nice track and then our cycling adventure could start. We had decent bikes (an upgrade will be due over time) and were guided through a magnificent scenery and even saw some real wildlife (zebra, girafe, wildebeest, impala, …) outside the national park. The assistant car followed at a distance (discrete and yet close enough to provide comfort and snacks and drinks when needed). An exquise lunch was prepared at the entrance of a national park and at night, we had a sundowner cycling tour accompanied by a ranger and even saw (< 20m) an elephant! Everything captured life by a superb photagrapher. Camp at night can use an upgrade, but scenery was magnificent and food again excellent. Warm, smart and friendly team, great organisation, perfect English!
