07:30–08:45 – Drive to the Turkmen border at Shavat. 09:00–10:00 – Meet your Turkmen guide, complete border procedures, and begin your desert adventure. 10:15–15:30 – Drive deep into the Karakum Desert toward Darvaza (280 km). Enjoy photo stops among endless sand dunes. 15:30–17:30 – Experience Darvaza Gas Crater, the surreal flaming pit that has burned since 1971. Perfect time for photography as daylight turns to golden hour. 18:00–19:30 – BBQ dinner under the desert sky — one of the most unforgettable evenings of the trip. 20:00 – Overnight at Darvaza (camp-style, desert atmosphere guaranteed!).

5.00What a great hassle free 4 day tour of Turkmenistan. Azat and his team took care of getting all the paperwork needed to visit Turkmenistan. We met with him the night before the tour to go over logistics. He explained the border crossings. Once we crossed into Turkmenistan there was a representative to help us do everything necessary- pay the visa fee, get Covid test, get passport stamped etc. it was very smooth. We had 2 separate drivers and felt very safe with each one of them. But be warned that the roads in Turkmenistan are very bad, so if you get motion sickness make sure to pack some medicine for it. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and answered any questions we had. He was able to describe everything in English for us. He helped us at restaurants if we had any questions on what the food was if there wasn’t any English menu. The vast differences in what we saw was amazing- from the Devarza Crater, to Ashgabat, to Merv. I would recommend taking this tour with guided travels to anyone wanting to experience Turkmenistan
