After a hearty and healthy breakfast you will learn what it takes to work with sled dogs, and get a chance to harness up some dogs. You will experience the incredible enthusiasm of the yard all ready to go once they see the harnesses. They just can't wait to go to work and the whole yard is cheering them on. Once our team of up to 12 dogs is hooked up to the ATV and we leave the yard there will be silence. Everybody is focused on their job. Depending on the temperatures we will be spending 30 to 45 min on the trail. Back in the yard you are encouraged to help feed and water the dogs and give them all a big thank you cuddle. After the ride we will take a group of our retired dogs for a walk to the shores of the Takhini river. This gives you more time with the dogs and also a chance to see what all our dogs get to do during their summer break. All morning in the fresh air will have you hungry for lunch time.

This place is amazing cant thank Manuela and Geoff enough they both went out of their way to accommodate the 6 of us nothing was to much trouble. They know every 130 dogs by name and bark. They feed us well 3 meals a day using vegetables from their home grown garden even one of as was gluten free and some of us are fussy eaters and we all loved the meals. They pick us up at the airport and drive us back. As we arrived and went straight to their place we didnt get to see the town of Whitehorse so Manuels went out of her way and drive us in and picked us up later. The working with the dogs was the highlight. The only thing that was a shame is that we didnt get to see the northern lights but that is out of anyones control. Its a wonderful place to unwined we all sat together a night and played board games and talked and laughed. No TV and it was great. Loved this place thankyou both so much Manuela and Geoff

Hosts of the lodge and dogs are wonderfull. They have hospitality and kindness for visitors. Only one thing that we were disapointed was that we couldn't watch aurora.
