• Great excursion - ATV & Monkey Land

  This was a great excursion. Alfredo, our guide was great! They pick you up right outside the cruise port and it’s a private tour for just your family in an air conditioned van. Alfredo took us to the ATV ride first and that was a great experience. Then we stopped at a local place to eat local cuisine for lunch. Then it was off to Monkeyland, which was also great. Alfredo had us back at port in plenty of time to shop in the port area before getting back on the ship.

  Very easy to find our driver. Jonathan was very nice and extremely knowledgeable of the area. I highly recommend him for the excursion. He knew many picturesque locations in the area and also was able to get navigate the narrow streets like a pro. Our food (lunch) was later than expected but very tasty. The monkeys were very cute and friendly. The staff were friendly and courteous to make this experience wonderful for my family. I recommend this to everyone to try this at least once. Our ATV tour was fun and we got to a nice beach at the end of the tour. After discussing with the family we thought it was a bit too leisurely of a ride and wished there was a bit more adventure in it. But overall we had a great time.

  One of the best excursions I've experienced. Edgar, our host, was very nice and very informative about our excursion. Also was willing to change plans and do what we wanted if time permitted.

  Edgar Private Tours provided an amazing day of thrills with an atv tour through beaches and paradise. The beach we stopped at for a break playa Teco Maimon was the most beautiful one we have seen so far. It was my first time driving an atv and I felt equipped and cared for. The monkeys were so much fun as well! Their light soft bodies were thrilling to find on top of our heads or on our shoulder at a moments notice. My dad in the states was extremely jealous. Monkeys that socialized are a dream to behold.

  These guys were so nice and showed us a great time with the monkeys and the atv! We highly recommend them ! Their knowledge and caring for the monkeys was awesome . We enjoyed the ride and stops along the way like the coffee, hot chocolate, and mamajuana drink .

  First and mostly, Edgar was GREAT. He was so kind and very transparent with us. He helped with advice about things we had planned or wanted to do which helped us out monetarily. He was waiting for us with a smile and he extended his pleasant attitude in every interaction. We went ATV’ing with the monkey tour and the entire experience was fantastic. Chander was a very kind young man at the monkey sanctuary that educated us about the monkeys and the plants that were growing on the property. The time with the monkeys was something I will always remember. It was interactive and worth it 100% We then went 4 wheeling and it was a blast. We stopped for iced coconut water and it was delicious. Everyone was very kind to us. We also went horseback riding. Edgar picked us up, smiling and so pleasant, and took us to a little ranch where we got on some horses and rode the beach and countryside. It was well worth it. We also went on a city tour with Edgar. He brought along with him this man, I don’t know his name, but he was so full of knowledge about the history, structures and had an abundance of interesting things to share with us. He was awesome and a great addition to the city tour. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone visiting.   Very enjoyable for whole family. Even took a 2-1/2 year old on the trip. We used a safety strap around our body to hold the child in front of us.

  

  

  

  

• Varied, versatile, exciting, educational and evening-adventurous

  Our tour was exciting as well as educational. We saw how the cigars were turned by hand from dried leaves, could get in touch with the little monkeys up close, had a cool ride on the quad bike, visited the rum making factory and then also had a personal tour on foot through Puerto Plato. A very varied tour with the guide whose name I forgot - but he said he was the best in Puerto Plato! Highly recommended.

  Our day with Edgar and his crew was excellent. They gave us clear instructions and directions for the ATV’s. Everything was very safe and well equipped.

  Amazing excursion!! We manage to meet up with our tour guide thanks to the guidance of Gerson which was well connected with us a day before our arrival by ship. The ATVs were exceptional and the trails we toon were captivating. I will comeback for more soon and I’ll definitely book with this tour operator again.
