Although it is a long day as there are many KMs to cover, this trip shows a lovely outlook of the NZ landscape with its beautiful rolling green hills with and without native bush, and the beautiful sea views of NZ's many beautiful beaches mostly accompanied with our beautiful pohutakawa tree. This is what makes NZ so unique compared to the rest of the world with the time to chill out and take in the big space. However, Cape Reinga has its own special place, not only being the most northern point in NZ but it is a very spiritual place and there is a sense of calmness here when you visit it. You also see the Tasman sea and Pacific Ocean meat at a triangular point. - It is a very special place. Other entertaining things are the sandunes, driving on the sand along 90 mile beach, finding and eating Tuatua (pipi) and having a laugh. Our driver Willie, was amazing. He entertained us pretty much for the entire day with history of area and jokes and singing. We also learnt a couple of maori songs. A great day

We had a brilliant day. Our driver, George, was very knowledgeable about his Maori culture and related a lot of history which we didn't know. Our lunch was provided. We had vegan wraps, some hummous, fruit and a yummy biscuit. Usually, as vegans, the food is rubbish but this was good. Would highly recommend this trip. It's a long day but worth it. Thank you, George, for a great day out. 5 Stars.

Very interesting trip with many nice spots. Also informative guide/driver who could tell a lot from ancient times and up til today's events and what challenges rural people meet in clash with modern society.

I did the 90 mile Beach and Cape Reinga tour with Ka Uri. Koro and Joe were our guides and what a fantastical tour it was. Hugely informative and gave a real insight into the Maori World. What a beautiful place and so spiritual to Maori. Koro and Joe gave us such clear and meaningful explainations of the pathways Maori travel to the end of their land journey to Te Rerenga Wairua. I can't recommend Koro and Joe highly enough. If you are looking for a cutural experience, beautful views and engaging, funny tour guides, look no further than Ka Uri and Koro and Joe.

Were very disappointed that it was so misty at Cape Reinga that we couldn't see anything. I know there are no guarantee but maybe as the weather wasn't good that day trip should have been postponed.

The bus driver was excellent and very informative. Even though the weather was inclement we had a great day. The lunch was great. Unfortunately other travellers need to be aware of pickup times and ensure they are ready ontime. Myself and my husband were left standing at our pickup point for 40 minutes in the rain. Well worth doing

We travelled with AAT Kings in NZ which is a subsidiary of Trafalgar. Tours under Trafalgar and another subsidiary Insight are great. NZ is a wonderful place to visit. But the tour we did in NZ with AAT Kings was a lower class to the other 2. The Coach was full with 43 passengers (too many). There was no Wi-Fi on the Coach as with most other Tours. The Tour Director Nathan comes from Queenstown on the South Island and has many years experience with Tours. Although he knows a lot about NZ, his commentary was so boring he was putting people to sleep. He kept repeating himself time and time again. The Driver Stu was more interested in chatting with younger females and big naming himself. Not good. The closer we got to the end of the Tour, the more we were told by Nathan about giving tips to him and the Driver and the amounts they expected. We were given envelopes to put money in and often shown where all the ATMs were. Also people need to realise that although there are some inclusions, there are many that are not and it can become very costly. We travelled over Christmas and New Year and on Christmas Eve we were told to buy what we needed for Christmas Lunch as not many places would be open. Then on Christmas Day we were dropped off at a Park by ourselves to have our own pre prepared lunch together. There was a family of 6 who joined us for the South Island leg and were very rude and pushy. On of the ladies had a terrible flu or even Covid and was coughing up all the time. She wouldn't wear a mask so many of us had to. Lots of us got sick. None of this family would wear seat belts and even though Nathan and Stu knew this, nothing was done. We were told we had to wear seatbelts, but it wasn't enforced for this family. They would push in at restaurants and toilets. Not nice people. We made some good friends, but the above spoiled what could have been much better. We intend to go back to New Zealand as we love the place, but next time we will fly there and travel on our own with a hire car. The weather is unpredictable and often windy, so travelling in a motor home is a scary option. We saw some blown off the side of the road from the wind.
