The trip to Cape Reinga was really great. The bus driver gave lots of historic information about New Zealand. It was a long trip and being a senior I struggled a bit with no bus toilet. There were a couple of quick stops along the way. 90 mile beach sand boarding was great for the younger people on board. We called into a tourist spot that had coffee and souvenirs, plus a lovely spot for lunch. All up it was a nice experience and George the bus driver was very knowledgeable and explained lots about his country.

It was a full day but very enjoyable. Our tour guide, George, provided stories and historical information which added to the experience. We had beautiful weather and the views at both 90 Mile beach and Cape Reinga were stunning. This is not a tour for young children as there is considerable bus time. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive a notice for morning pick up time so we waited at the motel about 45 min feeling a little uncertain but all turned out fine.

Despite the forecasted wet weather and on and off drizzles, we lucked out with blue sunny skies when we needed to be outside. George our driver and tour guide is the reason this tour was far above expectations. George is professional, friendly, courteous and safety minded and above all, a great singer. George is a wonderful story teller and thoroughly explained the sights and cultural significance of the many beautiful places we visited during the tour. The tour was managed very well without feeling rushed and plenty of bathroom rest breaks. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I believe all the participants of the tour felt the same way. Thank you George for a beautiful day filled with mesmerizing Māori stories and spectacular sights. New Zealand is BEAUTIFUL, through and through!

Going to Cape Reinga is well worth the long drive. Even though the weather was wet we got to see the lighthouse well and some spectacular views. Our bus driver Barry was excellent, he was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained.
