A fun family day in Fiji! South Sea Island is perfect for families with small children! If you would like a short trip out to South Sea Island to suit the kids, then this is the cruise for you.
In just 30 minutes you'll be at South Sea Island where you can spend two hours and be back at Port Denarau in time for lunch. In the two hours, you can see the stunning underwater world of the Marine Sanctuary that surrounds the island with its colourful coral and magnificent fish life. You don't even have to get wet as we'll take you to view all this in our semi-submersible vessel. You sit beneath the surface viewing the coral and fish through large panoramic windows. The kids might even find Nemo!!
After this fascinating trip you can spend some time ashore relaxing, kayaking, swimming or snorkeling.
The tour includes vessel transfer and hotel pick up and drop off from most of the Nadi/Denarau hotels.

Coach pickup time : Check the coach timetable on our website; pickup is earlier than boat departure to allow for coach transfer to the Marina.
Duration: 3 hours: The Cruise departs Port Denarau at 8:45am and arrives Port Denarau at 11:45am
Pick Up Area: Customers are advised to be waiting 15 minutes prior to times shown as drivers are unable to wait and may arrive earlier.

Poor experience and poor value for money

1.00Disappointed to say the least States online 3.15 hours We got on boat at 8.45 Arrived on island at 9.15 Orientation till 9.30 We were told to be ready to board the boat at 11am so only gave us 1.5 hours We went and got snorkeling gear but the snorkelling tour was at 10.30 and was only for 15 minutes, they ran late and we snorkelled from 10.40 and then had to rush to get our stuff to go back onto boat Water was too shallow to go snorkeling off shore and when we did snorkel there was a lot of sea lice and we saw about 5 fish that’s it very cloudy waters All staff were a little rude as they were so rushed as well and not the Fuji experience we had on previous trips Not worth the money or effort to go
If there is a longer tour option to this island, take it. Half a day simply wasn't enough! Magical.

4.00Absolutely gorgeous location. Everything you imagine a castaway island would look like. Great facilities and friendly staff. The half day tour seems like it would be enough but with the time taken to get on and off the tender boat and then on and off the fishing and snorkelling vessels, there was next to no time spent on the actual island. My partner and I would have spent money on a massage, food and drinks, but there just wasn't enough time to do that.
Don't bother. Nemos dad found him in more time than this tour.

2.00Tour was mixed with other groups. Poor communication about which group was to go where and do what. Glass bottom boat was out of action so it was swapped with a 10 minute fish feeding boat ride. Once island orientation happened there was barely any time to actually swim and our departure from the island was announced and then happened so rapidly that myself and 2 other people left clothing on the island and had to wait for hours at the Marina to get it back. Wouldn't do it again and would advise others not to. Book a full day tour or don't bother. Massive waste of money.

2.00We must have had the condensed tour. Pick up was early but we ended up at the harbour for over an hour, just sitting around. Then the boat left 35 minutes late. Got to the islet about 9:45. Were told if we didn’t get on the glass bottom boat, we would loose that opportunity. Didn’t have time to snorkel and left the island at 11:05. We didn’t get extra time at the end to make up for the late departure. Got back to the harbour and were loaded on big buses. Since we were the only two on the bus, my husband asked the driver why we were waiting. He said we had to wait 30 more minutes for another group to come. Took a cab. Tour was totally rushed!!!
