Our chocolate tasting experience was the highlight of a week-long vacation at an a luxury all-inclusive resort. Shamira gave us a great combination of history, deliciousness, and great shopping value all-in-one.

Sam was so knowledgeable of the food of the God's!! All the different kinds and flavors. At least 15 different kinds. The early grinding of chocolate with almonds, just incredible. Talk about a chocolate high. We got home and are mad we didn't buy more!

Shamira was such a great host! She took us through the history of chocolate in Mexico with such passion, intertwining her story with world history. I loved every second of it! Not only did i leave feeling more knowledgeable about Mexico's history, I also want to do my part in being socially responsible.

The tour takes place in a cozy room with lots of interesting cocoa related pottery on the shelves. History and tradition surrounding the development of chocolate is covered very well and the chocolate samplings were very delicious. Some of the more homemade creations were our favorites. The spicy coated cocoa beans were fabulous!

This is one of the best decisions I ever made. Loved the experience, our host was very knowledgeable and very kind. I am definitely glad I did this. Everyone should experience this…you will never eat American Chocolate again! Truly amazing.

This experience was an absolute highlight of our trip! Shamira was a fantastic host —warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history and cultural significance of chocolate in the Mayan tradition, and the chocolates we tasted were exceptional, by far the best we've had! We truly cannot recommend this experience enough. We’re already excited to return and try her mezcal tasting the next time we visit!
