  Our guide was amazing. We loved visiting with him. He made sure we were comfortable. The boat was comfortable plenty of room and bathroom facilities. We caught many fish. He made sure we caught fish or would move on to another spot. It was wonderful. Great local guide who gave us tips for the rest of our trip. We enjoyed asking questions about the area and he was very knowledgeable being a retired geologist.

  We joined the fishing trip with high expectations and unfortunately left a bit disappointed. The captain was very friendly and clearly did his best, but he was alone on the boat and it seemed difficult for him to both guide the guests and keep the boat in the best fishing position at the same time. Because of that, we did not really get a proper fishing experience. It was also unfortunate that the trip was on May 17th, which is Norway’s National Day. We tried to book on Wednesday it was canceled, Saturday it was also canceled. Finally we had to make a decision if we still want to go fishing on Sunday or not. While we were out at sea, the celebrations and parades were taking place in Ålesund, so we felt like we missed an important part of the local experience as well. Overall, the captain was kind and professional, but the organization and setup of the tour could definitely be improved. Especially for the price for the trip.

  This fishing trip was the experience of a lifetime. We couldn't keep the fish off the line. Ben and Arne were exceptional guides--knowledgeable, fun, and full of facts about the area and the geology.If you like to fish, any why else are we talking, have a go with these guys in their natural born habitat.

  A Nordic Angling Adventure: Ålesund fishing If you’re looking for a fishing destination that balances raw natural beauty with a high success rate, Alesund fishing is the absolute jackpot. I recently returned from a trip there, and it wasn’t just a vacation—it was a masterclass in deep-sea angling. The Highlights • The Daily Haul: We hit the water with high expectations, and the ocean delivered. We caught an impressive amount of Coalfish and Pollack. Both species put up a fantastic fight, making every reel-in an absolute blast. In heavy snow storm catching fish is a challenge!!! Beyond the fishing, the hospitality was second to none. We were able to sit right at the bridge, which offered a front-row seat to the navigation. We spent hours engaged in funny, lighthearted conversations with the Captain, whose stories and wit made the time between bites fly by. It truly felt like being among friends. From start to finish, we were incredibly well looked after. The crew handled everything with professional ease, ensuring we were comfortable and the gear was always ready to go. What struck me most about Ålesund fishing was that there was always something new to see and experience. While cruising the coastline, we saw local kids and teenagers hard at work building an enormous wooden bonfire (Slinningsbålet) for the upcoming Midsummer festival. Seeing them stack pallets by hand into such a massive tower was a fascinating glimpse into the local culture

  An absolutely fantastic experience – nothing beats the thrill of catching your own fish while taking in the stunning views of Ålesund from the water. The boat was comfortable, the guiding was top-notch, and the excitement when the line tugs is something you have to feel for yourself! To top it all off, we got to enjoy our fresh catch – it truly doesn’t get any fresher than that. A brilliant day out, highly recommend!
