In the village Fjærland, the Fjærlandsfjord is beautiful and majestic as it is surrounded by steep mountains, some still covered with snow on the peeks. A scenic and majestic fjord with Glacier-capped mountain peaks. The village is perfect to explore by foot and until 1986 it was only possible to arrive to the village by boat.

The cruise from Balestrand to Fjærland takes 1 hr and 25 minutes, then you will get a free time of 2 hours to explore the charming historical small village Fjærland by your own. At 15:30 the same boat will take you back to Balestrand.

Organization to review. No indication at first. We don't even know what the boat is. We're mixed up between those who took glacier option and no option. So we have to wait 2 hours in the village. That’s only 2 hours cruise without much explanation. And especially the boat had nothing to do with the one in the photo of the site! A small boat with three chairs for 60 people. Very very expensive for the service!

Beautiful boat ride and good information given about the area. Tour guide was nice and efficient. Enjoyed seeing the glacier and the lake below the glacier.

Fjaerlands is a lovely town. The weather was perfect which resulted in an overall wonderful experience. It would not be so good when raining.

Great fun to travel to Fjaerlands Fjord on this small boat. May be not too suitable for anyone with mobility issues or wanting to sit in comfort

Nice to see parts of the fjord not accessible by car. Wish we had known it had a 2 hour stop before we got on board
