Immerse yourself in Oaxaca on a day full of tradition, landscapes and flavors that will awaken all your senses.

It will start in Teotitlán del Valle, a town of Zapotec artisans dedicated to making wool mats woven on a pedal loom, giving them color based on natural dyes such as indigo or cochineal grain. Then you’ll marvel at Hierve el Agua, its petrified waterfalls and pools, a unique place to admire nature and capture unforgettable photos. You will continue in a factory of artisan mezcal, where you will learn every detail of its elaboration and enjoy a guided tasting that will make your palate vibrate.

To close the day, live a home-cooked meal with a local cook, where you will participate in the grinding of chocolate from cocoa and try traditional recipes full of history and flavor.

We start in Teotitlán del Valle, here you will discover the richness of Zapotec textile art, where artisans use sheep wool and natural dyes such as cochineal grain, indigo and other pigments extracted from plants and minerals. You will see how, in traditional pedal looms, they transform these materials into mats and textiles full of color, history and ancient symbolism. You can accompany each stage of the process, from washing and dyeing the wool to the final fabric. We took two days of tours with them, and they were super good, since before the attention came it is amazing by César and his team, the very nice places and recommend many places to eat and spend the night with some drinks of mezcal Rico, the costs are very good since everything is very private, it is worth it, Thank you very much guys, for teaching us a little bit of Oaxaca 🫶🏻💕

A Tour that no one should miss! From the petrified waterfalls, the mats , that make you part of the elaboration of Oaxacan food is an unrivalled experience and that I would highly recommend.
