• Escape Shanghai Bustle to Hangzhou - A Must

  This was an amazing day trip to get out of the great city of Shanghai and see some quieter spaces. My tour guide, Caroline, was incredible. She was so sweet and knowledgeable at each stop. We enjoyed the Westlake boat tour, tea plantations (the harvest was cool to see and learn about), and the temple. The temple was particularly impressive after seeing others in Shanghai. Lunch was very good and my tour guide was kind enough to keep me company since I was traveling alone. She even made sure I got photos in all the right places! Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to get out of the city bustle and enjoy the beautiful green Hangzhou.

  This is easily the best tour we have been on. The trip is incredibly well thought out from start to finish. Alana, the tour coordinator is friendly, responsive, very clear and detailed in her instructions. Berlin, our tour guide is excellent, personable and at the same time, a total professional. Her in-depth knowledge of the sites and Shanghai gave us great insights and a new appreciation of Chinese art and history. Transport from Shanghai and between sites was a breeze. Each site was breathtaking. The lunch venue was exceptional, we are still dreaming about the food we had on the day. Thank you again team for making this a memorable trip for us.

  I had an amazing experience with this company. I unreservedly would recommend them. Our online tour coordinator (Alana) was responsive, clear, and detailed providing us with detailed itineraries and accommodating our requests (for extra time/dinner, food allergies, and upgraded bullet train tickets). Perhaps because we were traveling with 3 little kids and elderly grandparents (group of 8 total), they proactively arranged 2 minivans to take us (two drivers) so we didn't have to park far away and walk 20+minutes to the sights. Our tour guide Caroline was great with my Chinese parents and my English speaking kids. She had so many interesting stories and facts - it really helped us to appreciate the culture and what we were seeing. My kids even told me multiple times how this was a great tour. Caroline had great recommendations on where to go (and what was worth it) and matched my family's energy levels. She took us to a fabulous lunch and dinner place - clean, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Truly one of the best meals we've had in Shanghai. She was also very flexible based on how tired people's legs were and was able to anticipate when to make bookings or where to have cars waiting for us. She helped us cut through any confusion and made everything easy and stress-free. HangZhou in the winter wasn't too cold either (at least the day we went) and we were able to enjoy the place without crowds.

  Our tour to Hangzhou with Caroline was fantastic! We got all the information and logistic help we needed. Cultural overview and food were excellent!

  Caroline was very kind and helpful, she explained well about the city and its history. The trip is flexible, adjusted to our condition because we had a toddler and two elderly. The lunch was perfect, delicious and authentic foods.
