Dotombori

Just step off Dotombori's main street, and you'll find yourself in a lively area where locals love to gather. Here, we’ll stop by 1 or 2 cozy local izakayas (Japanese-style pubs) and bars and enjoy unique food and drinks just like the locals do! We’ll also walk through vibrant backstreets, hidden alleys, and local spots along the way. Your guide will take photos throughout the tour, so you’ll have lasting memories. ※You'll walk about 5 minutes between each izakaya (occasionally up to 10 minutes). Haven’t had a chance to see the famous Dotombori Glico Sign yet? We’d be happy to go check it out with you!

I had the best time exploring the tiniest izakayas that cater to locals - the food was excellent, the drinks were delightful, and Tetsu's friendliness and knowledge made the tour a memorable introduction to Osaka nightlife!

This was exactly what I was hoping for: a local to show us around this incredibly chaotic area. Tetsu took us to places that you would never (NEVER) find on your own. He gave us the background of each place, walked us through the menu, and made us feel very comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

Tetsu was an excellent tour guide and took us to some completely unique local spots that we otherwise would not have ever gone into. We loved each place he chose and he was an informative, energetic and easy to get along with tour guide. If you are looking for an experience that isn’t just the usual tourist spots and want to experience how the locals eat and drink, I would 100% recommend this tour. Tetsu give us tips and advice about the drinks and food at each spot and took us to places that a foreigner wouldn’t know was there. Thanks Tetsu!
A tour that feels like a night out with a local friend

This is not your average food and drink tour. Instead, it's an intimate walk, drink, and dine like the average Osaka-jin. Tetsu was very friendly and accommodating. I initially went to the wrong side of the meeting point and he made his way to find me. He's got a great personality and will answer any questions you have. The tour has a max occupancy of three guests or less. This is needed because Tetsu takes you to some of the most hidden izakayas in Namba/Dotombori area with barely enough seating for seven people. All, but one izakaya had their seats full. The tour includes some food and drink, but you'll want to pay a little more to try certain dishes and karaoke at the end of the night. Overall, if you're looking for a nice slow paced adventure and not the usual pub crawl, give Tetsu and his tour a chance. 10/10 would recommend, especially to solo or couples travelers.

What an amazing and lifelong memory of an experience! Tetsu is a true professional and very fun to be led by as we explored the local side of Osaka that you absolutely will not find by yourself or have the guts to experience without a Japanese guide. The experience we had was just like a night out with my Japanese friends in Tokyo, we went to tiny holes in the wall that served the local salarymen, had drinks and food that you will not find at the tourist spots, had many laughs and made many great friends as we drank and even sang bar karaoke! I cannot recommend this tour enough, especially to solo travelers like myself! Thank you Tetsu!
