If you haven’t seen Hozenji Temple yet, let’s go explore together! Right in the heart of the bustling city, we’ll walk through an alleyway that feels like a step back in time. Discover Hozenji Temple, and immerse yourself in the rich history and atmosphere of this unique area.
Dotombori
Just step off Dotombori's main street, and you'll find yourself in a lively area where locals love to gather. Here, we’ll stop by 1 or 2 cozy local izakayas (Japanese-style pubs) and bars and enjoy unique food and drinks just like the locals do! We’ll also walk through vibrant backstreets, hidden alleys, and local spots along the way. Your guide will take photos throughout the tour, so you’ll have lasting memories. ※You'll walk about 5 minutes between each izakaya (occasionally up to 10 minutes). Haven’t had a chance to see the famous Dotombori Glico Sign yet? We’d be happy to go check it out with you!

5.00Tatsu was an amazing guide! He took me to hidden bars I never would have discovered on my own and helped break the ice with locals throughout the night. He mixed in just the right amount of sightseeing, and we ended the evening at a karaoke bar—which was the perfect finish. I had an incredible time and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan!

5.00We had such a fun time visiting several hidden gem izakayas that we would never have been able to find on our own. Tetsu is a great host! He has good relationships with the izakaya owners and other locals, recommends yummy dishes, and encourages us to try special/rare items that we never even knew existed. Next time we are in Osaka we will definitely be booking another tour with Tetsu!

5.00Our guide Tetsu was great. He showed us several local spots that we wouldn't have been able to find or get seated at without him. We were the only tourists at all of the locations we visited. He gave us great recommendations for what to order at each place, and ordered for us in Japanese. The food and drinks were very tasty and very affordable, and we had a great time!

5.00Had an amazing time visiting 3 different izakayas on this tour. It was a small and cozy group of just 4, including Tetsu-san, which made the experience feel very personal. Each izakaya had its own character, with varied and unique dishes just waiting to be discovered. We ate and drank a lot, tried tons of local specialties, and everything was still very reasonably priced and well within budget. Overall, a super fun night out and a great way to experience authentic local food and drinks. Highly recommended!

5.00I cannot thank Tetsu enough for making my last night in Osaka most memorable and I will not forget it. He really made me feel like a local going to small izakayas. I met very cool and nice locals that made me feel welcomed in their establishment. Ate good food and had great drinks. Please book this tour. Thank you again, Tetsu.

5.00This was the best walking tour I have ever experienced in all my travels. My guide, Tetsu-san, informed me that he only do small group. Luckily, I was the only person on the tour. He took me to at least 5 different mom and pop type restaurants and bars that only the locals go to. I was the only tourist in these places. These places were located in back alleys and they were so intimate that there were limited space. This elevated the experience to another level and seeing the cultural point of view of local people. I was able to enjoy amazing small dish plates at each location. Each with its different menu and taste that the locals enjoy. The cost of the foods and drinks was unbelievably cheap since the drinks were top of the line Sake, Shochu or beer and the local flavor of the food can’t be matched at any tourist restaurants. However, that’s my perspective as I like to try anything new or different. The people that I was able to meet in these places were so down to earth and they allowed me to enjoy the experience, although I was a tourist. Most places prefer not to have tourist due to its limited space. They like to reserve it for the locals, which are their repeat customers. However, with Tetsu, they welcomed me like a local 😁. Tetsu also took me to places that showed the diverse community in Osaka. One that I was not aware of and would not have known. We capped of the night at a small Karaoke bar. I highly recommend this tour from the others offering the same service. Please do not hesitate to book this tour!

5.00What an incredible experience with Tetsu. We went to very local bars/izakayas that we would’ve never found on our own. I would highly recommend this tour to small groups who want an authentic taste of Osaka. The drinks AND food were all delicious and very affordable. You can’t get a much better experience than this for a group of 2-3 wanting a night out in the Namba area. Tetsu was very kinda and helpful. All the food and drinks he recommended were 10/10.
