You love food and you love wine? Than this tour is perfect for you! We'll taste all Slovenia's regions, diverse in flavours, landscape, customs, traditions and dialects. So much diversity! You'll also get an abc on Slovenian wine. I'll give you a short intro into food and wine pairing and it's gong to be great fun! We will meet at the Farmers Market, THE place for local produce and specialties! I always say food is the best way to feel a nation's soul. The diverse and vibrant market tells a story of Slovenian people, culture and traditions and is also very famous for its architecture. Get ready to try different wine, cheese, delicious locally produced meat, traditional soup, seafood (did you know Slovenia has 43 kilometres of coast!) and among other things some sweets too. You'll also learn about typical Slovenian dishes with protected geographical status, like a delicious traditional pastry filled with walnuts. As I'll take you around I'll tell you all about Slovenian cuisine, culture and customs that are very old but still alive today. Be prepared for some good times while learning about the tastes of Slovenia through the eyes of a local food & wine lover and a sommelier.

5.00This tour really exceeded my expectations. Ana was wonderful. She shared a lot of information about the country and its history. The walking was just a few blocks with several stops for food and wine. She paired the wine to the food, shared information about the region where the food and the wine originated, and made excellent selections for both. We had many questions about Slovenia which she happily answered. We wanted to buy some Slovenian wine and at a wine shop she and the staff helped us find reasonable local selections. If you like wine, this is a great food tour, with a personable expert guide. After the tour Ana sent us a summary of what we ate and drank and her recommendations for local restaurants.

5.00We had such a lovely tour with Ana! She was very knowledgeable and personable throughout the tour. It felt like being taken around the city by an old friend. She had a great overview of the area both past and present. The food and wine was delicious and there was plenty to go around! Being in a small group added to the experience as well. I'd highly recommend doing this tour!

Her local knowledge and expertise with wine addd to the experience and her carefully selected eateries are well balanced and authentic experiences. A genuinely enjoyable food and wine tour and a great way to start your visit to Ljubljana. Excellent value for money.

5.00My wife and I went on a tour with Ana in late March. We enjoyed 6 Slovenian wines and traditional foods. Everything was in and around the farmer's market. Ana's insights on food, culture, and history [and of course the wine!] were the highlight of our trip! Communication in Engish was great - even on the technical details of wines. We highly recommend her tour to all foodies and wine conoisseurs!
