What To Expect

Civitavecchia Port

You will walk by the ancient roman area of the port and follow your guide who will introduce the city's history to you. The port is the city's birthplace and it's rich in ancient roman, medieval and renaissance architectural works. You would never imagine how important was the past role of the modern city port of Rome! This is a nice opportunity to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the port, admire roman remains and take nice pics!

Roberta was the best tour guide. She was so sweet, inviting, and funny. You could see the passion in her eyes for this beautiful city. We learned so much from her and had some amazing conversations. The food and the wine was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Definitely recommend.
Excellent alternative to going all the way to Rome.

This was a great option instead of a very long ride to Rome. We loved getting to learn about the city from a knowledgeable guide. Roberta was excellent. She was very mindful of the pace as we had a couple of people along who needed a bit more time and care for walking. At each food stop we got a little history and a nice taste. Roberta also encouraged some conversation amongst our group, which was nice. (And I am an introvert who usually doesn’t like such things!) The last stop was a very lovely surprise of charcuterie. The meats and cheeses were delicious and it was the best bruschetta I have ever had! Overall we were extremely happy about our choice of activities in this port. Especially after hearing about some of our fellow sailors’ day in Rome.
