This was hands down one of the most unique and incredible tour experiences I've ever had in Sydney! The Australian Food Guy “Dave” truly delivers on his promise to give visitors a taste of authentic, native Aussie food. The guided foraging tour was a fascinating introduction to ingredients I never knew existed, and our expert local guide was a wealth of knowledge, sharing captivating stories of Sydney's history and design, all with the iconic Opera House in the background. The tasting experience was a definite highlight. We sampled native plants, delicious dips, and honeys, all of which were surprisingly flavorful and unlike anything I'd tried before. The bush tucker hamper lunch, with its kangaroo salami, cheeses, and other treats, was the perfect finale, especially when paired with a chilled sparkling wine. This tour is a must-do for anyone who wants to go beyond the typical tourist experience and truly connect with Australia's natural and culinary heritage. I can't recommend it enough!

OK. If you need to cancel a tour I've booked, just let me know. We were looking forward to this time and sent a question asking where exactly the meeting place will be. The tour guide sent an answer, then 10 minutes later I received a message from Viator that my tour price had been refunded, with no explanation. If a guide finds he has a conflict, I'll understand, as long as he lets me know. But even when I asked, I did not receive a response (yet). When I search, I can find availability that day. I would have changed the time, if only offered the option. But now, no. I have no confidence that I will be able to know I can book a tour and go.

David’s tour was an absolute delight! His deep knowledge of every stop made the experience both educational and engaging. Where he truly shined, though, was in curating an unforgettable tasting experience of Australia’s local treats. As food lovers, we were thrilled with the perfect selection of indulgent flavors—unique pairings we never would have discovered on our own. The fact that he worked with locally owned shops to bring these culinary treasures to life made it even more special. The two hours flew by, and we honestly wished we could have spent even more time soaking up his expertise. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and delicious adventure!

David was interesting and informative about the history and food of the indigenous peoples. We walked around the botanical gardens and had a box lunch of food produced by these people.

David was kind, knowledgeable and fun. The walking tour was so beautiful through the botanical gardens. We ended with with a delicious lunch. (My favorite was the kangaroo salami, cheese and the best mango ever.) We played bocce ball and shared who we were and our stories. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks again David

An excellent tour guide with deep knowledge and love of food and sustainable living. If you're getting tired of fine dining and opting someting simple but heartwarming and uniquely Australian, this tour is an excellent choice. Enjoy a simple but most adorable sample of picnic basket with goodies you can only get locally. Learn about gum trees and lemon myrtle as the tour guide explains about trees, plants and wild-life in the botanical garden next to the Sydney's Opera House. If the weather is good, you'll get the best view of Sydney.
