Florence provided a wonderful tour experience. We enjoyed the historical and cultural sites, as well as local food and drinks as part of the tour.

The tour guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Martinique. I learned a lot about the island’s history and culture, which was the highlight of the experience. However, I was disappointed by the amount of food. For something advertised as a food tour, there was very little actual food involved. It felt much more like a walking history tour with a few tastings rather than a true culinary experience. If you’re interested in history and sightseeing, you’ll enjoy this. But if you’re booking specifically for food, you may want to manage your expectations.

Good shoes, water and curiosity. It’s a bit expensive as an activity, but enlarged. A good way to learn about the history of Martinique

A great overview of Martinique history and culture, in addition to a few of the local foods and culture. This was a great start to our trip, and we appreciated all the info our guide shared.

Great information on the history of island. Expected a bit more food from a walking history and food tour.

Manuel was knowledgeable, considerate, and resourceful. One of the best food tours I've taken, and the food was delicious!

Sarah was our passionate and cheerful guide on Fort de France Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour. Despite some initial rain our walking tour was very very pleasant and Sarah made sure we were comfortable at every stop. From the Schoelcher library to FdF stunning Cathedral to a yummy Sugar-cane-juice freshly squeezed we learnt a lot about that interesting town and could visit places WHERE LOCALS GO !!! We could taste “tete dwet” pastry at an Historic bakery , run since many years by the same family , DELICIOUS !!! Myself and husband were treated to a yum sit-down local breakfast and I could even chat with the lovely old owner, trying that bit of “creole” that Sarah had been teaching us. At the FdF open market we were gifted with a small bouquet of “medicinal” herbs and the final visit to a Fine Epicerie presented us with tasty local delicatessen ! This was our second stay in Martinique, but during this tour we could learn much more about local life and curiosities than during our previous visits. THANK YOU Sarah, we do hope to meet you again during our next trip to Fort de France !!
