We fly all year round, weather permitting. Please note: On Christmas, we only operate for half the day (9 am - 12 pm).

Your 20-minute helicopter flight begins when take to the skies above the Fox Glacier Township. You will get a view of the remarkable West Coast glacier region from high above before heading towards the mighty Fox Glacier. You'll explore the magnificent ice falls and see some of the finest work Mother Nature has done. Fabulous!! Totally worth the money spent. We would do it again if we ever come back to NZ South Island. Richard the pilot gave great comp entry and took photos with our camera for us.

It was absolutely wonderful. The tour is a on d in a lifetime thing and I can only recommend doing so. Our pilot was super friendly and loved giving us as much detail about our surroundings as possible. We also got lucky with the weather so it was an even better experience.

The organisation of the tour itself was a bit of a mess - the instruction says to go to the office but when we arrived that was locked. We only found where to go by walking around to ask different people who were on the other side of the road. The flight itself was incredible and our pilot was extremely nice. The views were incredible and the landing was so smooth.

Not to be missed, weather was fabulous which made for a spectacular flight. Organisation was great and our pilot gave a great commentary on our journey

This trip was actually so wonderful, we did the 20 min flight first and then we paid to do the 40min flight an hour later as well. Absolutely amazing and beautiful. The reception staff were so polite and friendly and our pilot for ours flights (Paul) is so professional, so good with local knowledge. He also made the trip by being so much fun to be around and we had so many laughs. He even participated in a snowball fight. Thankyou for such great memories, we will be back again.

The really wonderful trip , our pilot was fantastic and the weather fine so the flight and landing was a brilliant, it’s not cheap but the only way to get up to the glacier. A must do if you are travelling on the west coast

Did the grand tour 40 minute helicopter flight with snow landing from Franz Josef. Excellent organisation, tour ,pilot excellent. Flew around mount Cook and both glaciers. Spent about 8 minutes on snow with photos.Magnificent scenery flying close to glaciers and mountains. Excellent.

Our trip was well enough cancelled, but it is not something that Glacier can do for and all the way through they were very helpful and good to keep us up to date
