This experience begins in the heart of Coyoacán, the bohemian neighborhood where Frida was born, fell in love, created and built her identity.
Before entering the iconic Frida Kahlo Museum, we walk through the streets that defined her life. You will discover:
• The house where her parents lived
• The neighborhood atmosphere of early 20th-century Coyoacán
• The cultural and political movements that influenced her art
• The deeply Mexican identity that became her signature
Through powerful storytelling, historical context and artistic insight, Frida transforms from a global icon into a real woman: complex, brilliant, vulnerable, revolutionary.
Only after understanding her world do we enter Casa Azul. Inside the museum, her self-portraits, dresses, personal objects take on new meaning. Because you already know her story, every detail resonates more deeply. It is an emotional and artistic journey into the life of one of the most influential women of the 20th century.

City Art Tours was a no-show. Despite getting copies of tickets and notifications throughout the day, when we arrived at the museum our tickets had been cancelled. There was no notice given, not any answer when we called. When we reached out to Viator/Trip Advisor they confirmed that our tickets had been cancelled, and that they have no ability to offer solutions. A major disappointment.

Our guide did a wonderful job of bringing the story of Frida and Diego to life. She touched on the architecture, the art, the myths and stories that surround their lives. You gain such a view into Frida's life in her home and studio and see her belongings as she intended. We learned so much and appreciated learning all the details of the art and the home. It's a peaceful special place, left as it was intended for the world to visit. Our guide did such a lovely job and was extremely knowledgeable.

Estafania was our guide! He has a deep knowledge about Frida and Diego, being able to make a parallel of the history of the two with the moment lived by the world of the arts and by Mexico, with that we better understand the lives of the artists and their relationship! She also explained to us about the architecture of the house, its construction, renovations and functionality.
