  The worst trip ever , first i could not leave review on booking so be aware its a bad trip , the driver was late first stop in village everything was closed so only saw from outside, Bojnice castle was also closed we sat around for ofer 1h nothing to do did not offer to take us to the castle ruins that were on the itinary , then orava castle tour lunch 2h 30min , after that lake 6pm low cloud couldnt see the lake at all we were not able to do walk around or hike next lake wouldnt even be time as it would gotten dark as supposed to be 3h there , tour driver said tgey do not cancel whatever the weather, no communication from company.

  Slovakia is really beautiful and this tour really allowed me to experience a lot of what it has to offer. Milo was a great tour guide.

  The tour is a disgrace. To begin with, the driver drove very neatly and quickly, adhering closely to his schedule. However, his plan does not match the Viator plan or the route at all. There were tours only with castles or castles and Cicmany. If I had wanted to see that, I would have booked such a tour. This tour was supposedly supposed to include 3 hours of guided hiking in the Tatra. But that was not the case. (When asked during lunch, it was immediately stated: hiking - no!) We also had people in shorts, clogs, or high-heeled sandals, despite the cold temperatures). The night before, I received an email and a WhatsApp message that I would be picked up at 7 (instead of 8). By the weekend, very few hotels already serve breakfast. By the way, I only returned at 11 PM, and I was not the last one in the car. There were no traffic jams or anything like that on the way. We stopped very often at gas stations for 15 minutes for a bathroom break. We stopped twice on the highway to see a castle (Terencin and Beckov) in the distance. A guide from another vehicle spoke for about 5 minutes each time. Continuing to Cicmany, a nice village, we were told something for 5 minutes and then had 40 minutes to walk through the town ourselves. There was 1 small bottle of tap water, 2 mini chocolate bars, and 1 small shot of liquor. Next, we went to Bojnice Castle where the driver paid the parking fees (€2) and there was also a 5-minute talk. Then 45 minutes of free time. Problem: at that exact time, the castle has its lunch break. So no sightseeing, and in 45 minutes, one could have walked around the castle five times. Next, lunch from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, which was already reserved early at Orava Castle. Then Orava Castle, additional costs for us €9, and we were supposed to download the audio guide. Alternatively, we could have been in the car. Afterward, there was a photo point of the castle, and we continued at 5 PM towards the Tatra Mountains. At 6:20 PM, we arrived in Štrbské Pleso, we walked 2 minutes to a lake, where there was 1 glass of wine, and we received 40 minutes of free time. After that, we headed back to Bratislava. In the car, there was a small piece of cheese. Arrival at 11 PM. So no further hiking or nature activities. Also, not much was said in the car. I believe the driver spoke worse English than the German school English; at least nothing was understood or could be answered regarding the questions. Yes, it rained heavily all day - except during our stops, there was always a break in the rain, and I never needed an umbrella. Nevertheless, all deviations from the plan occurred before the start. Hiking was never an option here.

• Unfortunate bad experience mostly due to awful weather. We believe that this trip should be canceled in the morning.

  It is a very long trip with most time spent in the minibus. Weather was awful, on Monday some sites are closed. We hardly see the guide. The only good was our exceptional driver Rasťo, who put a lot of efforts to make this trip bearable. He delivered us safely after 11 pm to our hotel during the huge thunderstorm.

  An absolutely exceptional experience - without a doubt one of the highlights of our time in Slovakia. From start to finish, the tour was flawlessly organized and thoughtfully curated, offering a perfect balance of breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and authentic local charm. Visiting the fairytale village of Čičmany was truly unforgettable - its unique character and atmosphere felt like stepping into another world. We were equally captivated by the magnificent Bojnice Castle, which looks as though it belongs in a storybook, and the remarkable Orava Castle, steeped in history and cinematic legacy. Each location brought its own magic, leaving a lasting impression. The natural beauty of the High Tatras was simply awe-inspiring, and the serene, untouched atmosphere of Štrbské Pleso made the experience feel even more special and exclusive. A special mention goes to our guide and driver, Rasto, who elevated the entire journey. His professionalism, deep knowledge, and genuine passion for the region were evident throughout. Equally important, his calm and confident driving made us feel completely safe and at ease, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. This was far more than just a tour - it was a beautifully crafted journey filled with unforgettable moments. Highly recommended to anyone seeking something truly special.

  The experience in general has not been bad, but it would change some things, and I would stick to what it says that is done on the tour and that in our case, has not been fully fulfilled. Lucky, the guide, was very kind to us, and we have no complaints. The driver of our van (it was not Lucky, but another) was also friendly, but did not make us the wine tasting advertised in the description. In fact, when we were at the last stop, Alto Tatra, we asked Lucky about this, as we saw that the tour was over and they didn’t do it, and he told us that then we would do it, that it was the final surprise, and to no one’s surprise, never came that tasting, as then we did the nearly 4 hour lap, non-stop, and he didn’t stop for that either. It would also change to leave more time in the Palace of Orava, so that you could see without hurry and have time to eat, and less time in Alto Tatra, since we were given an hour and a half to tour the lake, and although the environment is beautiful, and it is good to be there for a while, it was too long, the souvenir shops and bars closed soon and we had to stay a while hanging around, waiting for it was time to leave, and going cold. For the rest, what we have seen, has been very worthwhile, despite all the hours in the van.

  Unable to leave a comment on Booking after this excursion, I would like to express my dissatisfaction because we did not visit Bojnice Castle, nor had a wine tasting and we only stayed 30 minutes in Cicmany instead of an hour as indicated in the program! Moreover, why their price suddenly increased from 99€ to 124€ in a few days on booking? Nobody gave me an answer! Picked up from 6:40 am at our hotel, then from the 8 other passengers, we finally leave Bratislava shortly before 8 am to stop on a motorway area for 20 minutes and submit the program of the day. When I asked the guide about the visit to Bojnice Castle, he stressed that the visit to this castle was only possible in Slovak and guided, after checking on their website, it is true that there is only a guided tour in English every day at 1:15 pm, in which case why announce it in the header??? It's sharp and it's a lie! 30 minutes visit to the village of Cicmany, much too short! Then take the road back to Orava Castle (not planned in the basic excursion) where we had lunch in a restaurant nearby then visited the castle: otherwise very good!!! Then drive to the lake Strbské pleso, for a stop of one and a half hours and not more as specified in the initial program. On the way back, stop at night at 8pm in front of the castle of Bojnice closed, time to take some pictures. Arrived at the hotel exhausted, more than 700 kms covered. The guide, both driver was friendly. After exchanges with booking, here is the answer of the provider: " we can confirm that the excursion took place in full respect of the itinerary announced. All planned steps, including wine tasting, were successfully completed. " What a toupee!!! Avoid!

  This experience was fantastic. You are able to see some of the prettiest sights all across Slovakia in one day!! Ján was a fantastic guide, very kind, funny and made the day memorable. I honestly recommend this to everyone!! Slovakia is so beautiful.
