  The transfer was smooth and the communication leading up to it was timely and efficient. Paraty Tours is a reputable company and they do a good job. The minibus was comfortable and we would use them again.

  I received details of my transfer and ticket for the boat journey over to Angra dos Reis by WhatsApp message which was straight forward. Upon arrival I was greeted by the rep who advised where the transfer bus was packed. Very modern, clean and comfortable vehicle. Stopped half way for a short break and the smooth journey then continued all the way to Rio where I was dropped off right outside my hotel. Excellent service.

  We did several translations with Paraty Tours and I only have good things to say. The service is excellent, attention by whatsapp before service. Of the best receptive service companies I've ever seen. The buses are very comfortable. I recommend.

  Would not recommend. I book everything through Viator and am happy to pay bigger prices as it is usually good quality. I did this one because I needed to get back to Rio for a certain time and wanted it to be easy. This was one of my worst experiences. It was assigned to Paratay tours who were awful to deal with. They kept forgetting to send the ticket and I had to chase them for it the evening before. They then sent me a ticket with the wrong time, meaning I would have completely missed the boat. When I questioned it, they eventually resent the ticket with the new time written on top of the incorrect one. There were no instructions for what to do at the harbour. It was super busy and every other tour company had a representative shouting names for people. I could not find anyone from this company or find out how to get the boat. As I was about to burst into tears with the confusion and stress at missing my boat, a stranger took pity on me and brought me right to the front and helped me get on the boat as it was just about to leave. No one knew or cared that I was supposed to be on it. Thr tour company were not responding to my messages. Getting off the boat at the other side, the shuttle car was lovely, clean, new, and the driver was friendly. He was great. Paratay tours finally responded to me when i was back in rio at night. Instead of apologising for a bad job, the text me saying if I wanted a better experience I should have paid more money. (I was never given the option to even do this if I wanted).

  After waiting over an hour for the driver to pick us up, we were stuffed into a tiny van with 2 other couples. Only hobbits would fit in this tiny van. We all had luggage, there wasn't even a trunk to fit it all, so we had it stuffed back with us in our tiny rows. My knees were hitting the back of the chair in front of me, chairs adjusted to sit straight up so we would all "fit."(See photo for proof) We have back problems to this day for this awful 3.5 hour ride!!! THAT'S NOT ALL! When we stopped for a "bathroom break," our driver took his time eating a burger for 30 minutes while we were all locked out of the van standing there waiting for him to finish. THEN when we finally reach Rio, we were dropped off at the WRONG LOCATION!!!! When we got out of the van confused, I tried asking the driver if he could drive us 8 minutes down the road to the right spot....he didn't care at all and told us to get a taxi..... A TAXI FROM OUR SHUTTLE!! We were never confirmed to where our dropoff location would be...he said that's it, but it was not. Do not waste your money here. There are other shuttle services, this one was one of the pricier ones so I thought it would be better....don't be fooled! (FYI, I'm not one to write bad reviews....I asked for some kind of compensation or refund for our awful experience but no concern or even reply was given...so here I am. Thanks for listening!)

  Pleasant ride, on time, no problems. Driver arrived right at our hotel, gave us a coffee/bathroom stop, and wristband for boat at drop off.

  We had 3 different transfers with Paraty tours. The communication was personal and adequate (by WhatsApp). Even when we changed one of our transfers, they were very well organized and on time. So flexibility was also very good.

  We made transfer Rio - Paraty, Paraty - large island, big island - Rio with Paraty tours and also did the escuna tour in Paraty and the tour to Trinidad. Paraty tours was perfect in all the services provided. Punctuality, sympathy and commitment made all the difference in our journey!
