Disappointing pickup process.

4.00Pickup was chaotic and stressful. Driver told us to meet at a location, then wasn't there, then sent numerous WhatsApp messages directing us to a different place. We expected to have someone waiting for us with, for example, a sign. The driver wasn't in the same car as the photograph that had been sent the day before. Not worth the money we paid for a personal car collection service.

3.00The Good: car was clean and spacious. Driver was safe the whole way to the hotel. Communication prior to arrival was good and informative. The Bad: despite saying he’d be waiting for me at 20:30 I wasn’t picked up until 21:10, the instructions I received form the company said I’d be met at the arrivals hall but instructions the day of arrival from the driver said to come outside to meet. This combined with the late arrival meant almost 30 min of standing in the Jeddah heat waiting for his arrival. Also after we left the airport and we had driven for 10 min he asked me what hotel I was going to despite me having provided the information in the booking and to the company a few days prior. I gave him the name of the hotel and he struggled for a bit to understand which hotel to go to. Eventually I showed him the hotel location on my own phone and he was an ms rk add it to his GPS. Between the late arrival and driver not knowing what hotel I was going too the convenience of having pre-arranged transport was gone and I would have been better off using Uber or Careem - less of a wait and address is prepopulated in the app.

5.00I decided to book an airport transfer on my 1st trip to Jeddah and I was very happy with Golden Destinations! Once booked, I received a Whats App message with details on my arrival. I was sent the driver's name, his phone number, a picture of his car and license plate, AND a picture of where he would be standing in the airport. I had never been to this airport so this was a nice touch! Once we landed, I had a message from the driver himself letting me know he was there with a reminder on where he was standing. The driver took us straight to our hotel and there was bottled water in the car. I appreciated their thorough and clear directions and would definitely use them again! Thank you!

5.00Our transportation from the airport in Jeddah to our hotel went flawlessly. The driver was in contact with us ahead of time and was very clear about where we should meet. He was a young law student who was eager to learn English and engaged us in conversation. The car was very nice and clean and the whole experience was positive. I recommend Golden Destination for your transportation needs in Saudi Arabia.
