Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow, pickup by minivan from a pre-determined place (hotel or other place that you choose) at a specified date and time. Transport takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.
Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau
As part of the visit, you will receive an individual admission ticket to the Auschwitz Historical Museum and a professional yours language speaking guide ( English French Spanish German Italian or Russian ). Visiting the camps takes place in groups of up to 30 people (the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum does not organize visits for smaller groups). You will also receive a set of headphones, with your guide speaking into a microphone during tour. You will be able to visit the death camp on a planned route, including the most important sightseeing points. The tour includes all permanent exhibitions and buildings at Auschwitz I (main camp) as well as the most significant original buildings at Auschwitz II Birkenau such as the prisoner barracks, the unloading platform (ramp) and the ruins of the gas chamber and crematoria II and III.

5.00Our driver Mathew was efficient and organised and would definitely use Mathew again. Tickets were organised for us and he directed us through to the English tour group - The tour of Auschwitz- which is organised by the actual camp facility is terrible - you can’t visit the camp without being a part of their tour - there’s too many people - you’re treated like cattle - our guide was suppose to be English speaking - I’m guessing English was a 4th language for her. There’s no time to look and reflect - it’s a travesty -
Tour was very informative, our driver was extremely knowledgeable. Learned a lot about history and current events.

5.00Our driver was a world of knowledge, it was a great experience to also understand a little more about Poland 🇵🇱 and its history including your perspective. Our actual tour of the camps was very overwhelming, the scale of the operation was extreme. This topic was spoken about in discussions however we have never seen face to face so to speak. Very important and informative piece of history, which does repeat itself through time. Thank you again. L&T

5.00This is the third time we have been to Auschwitz, and the guide was exceptional: it enriched us with its historical knowledge and emotions. The taxi driver was, for his part, really top: very talking and caring for us. And the vehicle was perfect.

5.00Easy to book, great communication from the tour operator, drop off and pick up from hotel. 2 Drivers who were both very helpful and made sure we were in the right place to meet our guide and made sure we knew where to meet after the tour. Highly recommended especially if you are a big group.

5.00Daniel, our driver, was a polite, punctual and safe driver. He contacted us the evening before to confirm the trip and pickup details. Perfect. Our guide from Auschwitz, Michael (English spelling) - arranged through Viator was excellent. His English was perfect and clear and his knowledge of the subject was clearly exceptional. Our tour of Auschwitz 1 took 2 hours before taking the shuttle to Auschwitz-Birkenstock where we toured for another hour. The subject is pretty gruesome so I was glad to have researched it beforehand and Dan Snow’s History Hits on YouTube or BBC Sounds (Auschwitz & Rudolf Hoess episodes) helped to soften the blow. I believe it’s something we should all witness and it’s encouraging that so many school parties were present. This is our fourth tour with Viator (Normandy D-Day beaches, The Salt Mines, Schindler’s factory and now Auschwitz) and we have been impressed with each one. Top Tip - Auschwitz only allow a v small rucksack into the camp. Try to have a substantial breakfast beforehand, as there’s only a few machines dispensing chocolates, crisps, and don’t be late for your pickup.

5.00Very sombre experience throughout however our driver Daniel and guide (think she was called Eva) was absolutely fantastic- very efficient collection/drive and drop off and both extremely knowledgable. They were both very helpful and approachable and super welcoming
