Soren was an outstanding tour guide and made my visit to the Ypres Salient truly memorable. He took me all across the area, visiting the key WWI sites, and his depth of knowledge was exceptional. He explained the history clearly and thoughtfully, bringing the events of the First World War to life with context, detail, and respect. His passion for the subject really showed, and he was happy to answer questions and tailor the tour to my interests. The experience was not only informative but also deeply moving. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to understand the history of Ypres and the Great War.

Just brilliant! Søren is incredibly knowledgeable about WWI. He shares so much insight and context as you explore the key WWI sites in Ypres. He also takes such great care in curating a visit tailored to you, with thoughtful attention to details. We had an incredibly memorable day which will not be forgotten. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Søren was fantastic - a great balance of factual history and story telling with a good dose of humour thrown into the mix. The day was factually nerdy enough for my partner and not too much for me - the stories were brilliant and we visited a good variety of sites, large and small. My personal favourite was Hill 62 with trenches and the large volume of plate photographs to go through. Having the option to take part in The Last Post ceremony in Ypres was an unexpected and emotive bonus. Note the link here doesn't always appear to work. I emailed Søren direct and made arrangements that way, both for the date and plans for the day itself. A very informative and thought provoking day spent in good company.

An incredibly moving day with outstanding guidance from Soren, our tour leader! He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and really brought history to life for me. My husband is a WWI buff and he enjoyed every minute. It’s truly incredible to see and hear what happened back in 1914-1918! GREAT day and ask for Soren! If you are lucky, you can stay for the Last Post! Convenient pick-up at our Brugge hotel made it very easy!!!
