Nature Reserve of Scandola

The Scandola Nature Reserve, on the west coast of Corsica, is an exceptional UNESCO World Heritage site, extending over approximately 900 hectares, including both a maritime and terrestrial area. The geology of this reserve is remarkable, with spectacular rock formations resulting from a mixture of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. These cliffs, caves and rock formations plunge into crystal clear waters, home to rich biodiversity, while its diverse flora includes endemic species adapted to the extreme conditions of the rocky coastline.

Girolata

Girolata is a picturesque village located between Porto and the Scandola nature reserve, the particularity of which is that it is only accessible by boat or by hiking trail. Famous for its authentic charm and preserved character, you will observe a magnificent Genoese fort recently renovated. A 2-hour stopover will allow you to have lunch in one of the establishments, stroll through the streets or swim in a wild cove.

We will never forget this wonderful adventure! Swimming at sea with a snorkeling mask was part of it. ... Only small shadow on the board: the climbing ladder on the boat not very passable at my age but I do not regret at all. To do again!!! Thank you to everyone who helped me. Team on top 👍

A very nice walk with our captain Bernard who knew how to make us discover beautiful corners, then a stop also of 30 minutes in Girolata where you can taste artisan ice cream, and other Corsican specialties. Despite confusing his right with his left we were told at the start, LOL Bernard brought us back safely! It was particularly friendly and we will keep an excellent memory of this afternoon and in addition we had the sun!!! But Bernard had nothing to do with it! Thanks for everything.

Very nice experience our Captain Bernard at the top and bonus the boat that enters the caves to the sound of Corsican songs. We really liked this sea trip and appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the whole team.

Bernard our captain and guide, made us live an unforgettable afternoon. What a joy when we entered the caves of the coves of Corsican songs accompanied this approach. It was absolutely magical. Thanks to him for his experience, his mastery of navigation and all these emotions he shared with us. A great moment that we are not about to forget.
