Bosnia and Herzegovina is small country but one of the richest in diversity of nature in the Europe. There is a lot must-see natural gems.
In this tour you will have a chance to visit two of them, two national parks.
The first one that you will visit after the hotel pickup is Bijambare Cave. Until there you will have a chance to enjoy beautiful natural landscapes. Upon the arrival, we will hike through verdant forests and enjoy the upper and lower caves. Into the caves you will se breathtaking cave jewelry- stalactites and stalagmites.
After the break, which you can use for lunch, we will proceed to another Bosnian beauty- Spring of Bosnia River called Vrelo Bosne. One of the rare place where you will get the most clean breath as the one on the top of the mountains

Bijambare Cave
Bijambare cave is one of the most beautiful caves in Bosnia and Herzegovina located around 40 km away from Sarajevo. After we are there, first we shall take a nice walk through the beautiful combination of oak, beech and pine forest to reach the Bijambare Cave complex. The walk is enriched with plenty of beautiful scenery, small creeks, small lake usually there in spring/winter, fresh air and much more what will make us have a great beginning of the tour. After we reach Bijambare Caves complex, firstly we will visit Gornja Cave (Upper Cave). Gornja cave is the oldest cave in Bijambare cave area. It is neither a big speleological structure nor beautiful decorations that make Srednja cave so attractive. However it hides in its floor the most important records of the past fauna and mankind prehistory. Also, it is the highest cave in this complex. So great panoramic views are attractions that we shall not miss here. After Upper Cave we will proceed to Middle Cave and you will be able to explore most beautiful cave in Bosnia with main hall that is bigger than average stadium. In this cave held one wedding ceremony several years ago. Everything went good, except the thing that they didn’t predict that there will be pretty cold in the cave. Ladies wearing light dresses couldn’t stay long during party. Later on we will see the Lower Cave and a small lake located in Bijambare Cave complex.
Vrelo Bosne
Vrelo Bosne park with Spring of river Bosna will be the perfect ending for this tour. You will enjoy green scenery and plenty of water. Optional would be horse carriage ride through beautiful oak alley where you can find most beautiful villas and houses from period of Austro-Hungarian monarchy.

Great tour it was just us and the tour guide, no one at the caves which made it even more special. Definitely recommend.

My delightful guide Amir made this tour a once-in-lifetime experience, I had a wonderful day exploring Bijambare Caves and Vrelo Bosne Park. From start to finish, he made the trip enjoyable, informative, and very comfortable. Amir has a wealth of knowledge about the history, culture, and nature of the area, and he shared it in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. He was also very attentive and flexible, making sure I had enough time to enjoy the caves, the peaceful forest walk, and the beautiful springs at Vrelo Bosne. His friendly personality and genuine passion for showing the best of Bosnia made the tour feel less like a formal excursion and more like exploring with a local friend. I highly recommend Amir to anyone visiting Sarajevo—if you want a memorable and authentic experience, he’s the perfect guide!

Really appreciate Bosnia Tours still took us on this tour despite bookings being low. Our tour guide, Agan, was very friendly and ensured we knew how to navigate around to caves and then spring of river tour. The actual areas are underrated, very beautiful, can easily spend half day in each section. Definitely something to do, if you want to explore the beauty but are limited on time for full day hikes.

Really enjoyed this tour just a short drive from Sarajevo into the mountains for a gentle walk through the forest to the caves and then back to the beautiful riverside park in Sarajevo. Our guide Amir was excellent, knowledgeable and warm explaining not only about the caves but also some of the culture and history of this wonderful country. Recommended.

Amir was a brilliant, friendly, knowledgeable guide, the destination was beautiful and interesting, and we both really enjoyed it. In fact, Amir went above and beyond, and took time out to explain the old gravestones on the way to the caves, which we really appreciated. It was an excellent half-day trip in really good company.

It was a wonderful experience and great possibility to escape the hot weather in Sarajevo. The Bijambare cave offers breathtaking views, you could also enjoy a nice walk there through a forest. The terrain is very flat and easy, so don't worry about too much hiking. Also, there is a train you could take to the cave. Our guide was Elma, and she is simply amazing, punctual and caring.

Excellent trip to the caves! We had been struggling to find out how to get to Bijambare from Sarajevo by public transport, and last minute we opted for this tour to skip the hassle - and it was worth it! Our guide, Senad was super friendly, chatty and really flexible - we got picked up outside the city center (outside the regular pick up zone), on time, and had a comfy ride to the Bijambare park. We wanted to spend a bit more time at the Bijambare park so we skipped the Bosna river spring, and then Senad dropped us off at a location of our choice. Really recommend it!
