Start your shore excursion by getting pick up from Semarang Port of Tanjung Mas. Your experienced local guide will meet you at the arrival gates of Semarang Port. For ease of identifying your guide, they will hold a sign with your name on it. So, relax and enjoy the sights as you are transported to the magnificent Borobudur Temple.
Borobudur Temple
On arrival at Borobudur, explore the temple whilst benefitting from the knowledge of your guide. As the world's largest Buddhist temple, Borobudur is regarded as one of the world’s seven wonders. Encounter 504 life-sized Buddha statues, each carved from a single stone. Discover seated Buddha statues beneath each bell-shaped spire. Once your trip at Borobudur Temple is finished, sit back and relax while your driver/guide taken you back to the cruise ship terminal before your ship departs.

5.00We opted to do this tour instead of the one offered by our cruise line so that we could drive directly there and leave when we wanted to. We left an hour later the cruise ship group and were back 1.5 hours before them. Worth every penny. Our driver, Thoriq, was great. He was on time, escorted us through ticketing up until we joined the Boroburdur tour and then was waiting for us when we were done. Afterwards he accommodated our request to stop for cold water. Highly recommed this trip and Thoriq!
Fantastic Borobudur is not to be missed!

5.00Borobudur is a UNESCO world heritage site that must be seen. The largest Buddhist temple in the world is simply stunning. We travelled to the site with EKO - a superb driver guide with excellent English, good humour and good conversation. It is more than 2 hours drive to the temple from Semarang port - you will spend a large part of your day in the car so don’t underestimate the value of a driver guide who is both knowledgeable and good company! It is a hot climb to the top of the temple but you are rewarded by great story telling from the official guides on site and wonderful views when you reach Nirvana at the top. This has been the standout highlight of our visit to Indonesia - highly recommended.

5.00We had an awesome trip to Borobudur Temple. We arrived before the Holland America buses and were able to visit the temple with a guide of 5 which was amazing.

5.00Prajan is THE driver you need to make this trip comfortable and with lots of info and stories :-) He took care of the vip entrance, a drink and some snacks . The temple is something you just have to see!
