  We were fortunate to have Highlanding Travel. The tour guide was very thorough and flexible. Pickup and drop off were prompt and simple. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.   it really depends on the operator of the tour. We are fortunate to have Highlanding Travel. The guide was very thorough and flexible. Pickup and drop off were prompt and simple. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. The guide spoke fluent English and took us to all the vantage points for photos. I highly recommend this tour especially Highlanding Travel.

  I was looking for a tour guide based in the Sacred Valley instead of the multitude of guides that drive you 2 hours from Cusco to the valley. Thank God I found Mihai who has been a professional guide for 12 years but just opened his own tour company. He speaks 5 languages and knows everything about the Sacred Valley because he lives there. It seemed that every where we went with him he was known by the locals and respected by other tour guides. This proved invaluable because we did not only hit the major sites but we did what others wish they could do when traveling , which is live like a local. We experienced local small town festivals , hidden gems and local family owned restaurants with authentic gourmet food. There is no better guide than the one that’s local and owns his own company and who takes so much pride in working to make you happy and feel like you’re part of the family. My wife and I will never forget the experience we shared with him and offer our blessings to him, his wife and beautiful daughter.

  We did a private tour with Mihai to Chinchero, Mara salt mines and Moray. We had a wonderful experience, as the tour guide is like a history book, it was more than a regular tour, it was an anthropological experience. Mihai is very friendly, knowledgeable about everything about the places. He took extra time to explain and explore each nook and tell very vividly the history of each place. We had a great conversation and discussion not only about history, but the philosophical part that evolved each place that we toured. Thank you Mihai for sharing with us this unique tour.

  Our 5-day journey through Peru’s stunning Sacred Valley was nothing short of unforgettable, thanks to our incredible guide, Mihai Rivas. Mihai’s deep knowledge of Inca history and culture brought every site to life—from the breathtaking terraces of Moray to the ancient ruins of Ollantaytambo and, of course, the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. He navigated our group with care, always attentive to our pace and interests, and shared stories that made the landscapes feel alive with history.   This tour was absolutely amazing from start to finish! This is a fairly new company. They’ve only been around for about a month, so please don’t be scared off by the lack of reviews. They were absolutely excellent. Our day started with an on-time pick up in a new and very clean van with complementary water bottles. Our driver was incredibly safe and our guide. Mihai was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. With a degree in anthropology and having grown up in the area, his in-depth knowledge was invaluable. Our first stop was in the village of Chincero where we were able to see an alpaca while making dying and weaving demonstration. Beautiful and vibrant village, and the people are lovely and friendly. Our next stop was at the Maras salt mines. An amazing experience in these pools that have been in existence for hundreds of years are still in operation today. Our final stop was at the Moray terraces that were once used as agricultural laboratories by the Inca people in history of these is fascinating. Do not hesitate to book this tour you will not be disappointed!

  Wow! What an incredible experience. We were staying in the Sacred Valley and looking for a tour that would let us explore the surrounding area. Most of the tours I found had Cusco as the starting point, so I was thrilled to find this one that picked us up directly from our hotel. I booked it for the next day for my family of three, and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Mihai picked us up right on time, and we began our day with a visit to the Chinchero community. There, we learned how they process llama wool and use natural ingredients to create beautiful, vibrant dyes. My 8-year-old son especially loved feeding the guinea pigs and interacting with the llamas and alpacas. We even had the chance to purchase some incredible handmade items crafted by the local women. Next, we visited the Salineras (salt mines), where Mihai shared the fascinating history behind them. After that, we explored Moray and learned about the ancient Inca agricultural terraces and how they were used for farming. Mihai wrapped up our day with a stop at a local shop where we sampled various types of salt from the mines. We returned to our hotel feeling enriched, grateful, and full of knowledge. It was truly a memorable and rewarding day for our family.
