We will pick you up from your accommodation in Tirana (for Lezha and Shkodra there is a meeting point). Relax in a comfortable van for a 1.5-hour drive until our first stop for coffee, snacks, stretching your legs, and free toilets. Since it’s an early start, you can also take a nap during this part of the ride. To keep it peaceful, the guide will only share a short itinerary until after the break.
Komani lake shala river
From there, it’s about another 1.5 hours of driving. During this part, your guide will share interesting information about Albania, the area, and the tour itself while you enjoy the mountain and lake scenery. Please note that part of the road is under construction and can be a bit bumpy. After around 3 hours in total, we will reach the Komani Lake dam. Following the guide’s instructions, we’ll walk through a 7-minute tunnel to reach the boat. Enjoy a 1-hour boat ride across Komani Lake with stunning views of mountains, greenery, and crystal-clear waters—a perfect time for photos!

5.00It was a lovely trip, a truly unique experience. This is my second trip to Albania, I stayed in Tirane both times. First I was a bit afraid to make the book the tour because of its length, but the scenery and the atmosphere really did worth the travel time. Noel our guide was very helpful and he is a genuine funny guy. Our driver was the other true hero of the day, weaving our bus through these windy mountain roads was a feat of professionalism. 🏆

5.00It was nice! They were really kind and puntual. The spot was beautiful, unfurtunately it was a little cold in the boat ride (they warned us, it's just í didnt bring a jacket )

5.00Bledi was a lot of fun and kept the energy going. It was a great trip really enjoyed the boat ride and the lake is a beautiful place to relax for a couple of hours.

5.00Great day got to see lots and the boat ride was beautiful. Be prepared this is a full 15+ hour day. The hotel pickup is not exactly at hotel so you will have to get to a meeting point for 5am so plan ahead for that, mine got sent at 11pm the night before so just leave time in the morning to find your spot. 3 hours at shala river is a bit long if you aren’t planning to eat and swim there. Zipline was closed and the guided hike was taking place so just be prepared to sit in the sun and relax for most of it. Bus driver and host were great they got us there and let us know all the stops and everything ahead of time and made sure everyone understood meeting times and places. They also confirmed everyone was back after each stop which was nice.

5.00The tour was amazing the team involved was amazing, Bledi was our tour guide and he is such a kind hearted man and a very professional tour, he knows a lot about Albanian history and is always here to help or simply make the tour as enjoyable as possible, he took great care of us ( I booked the tour with my mom) he was very caring with my mom who struggles to walk upstairs or enter the boats, I can't thank him enough, I respect him and all of those that work with him, thanks a lot

5.00Had a great time on this tour. Bus stopped in morning for food and coffee then we had lunch at the river. Tour guide Bledi was very nice and knew lots of information. There was lots to do near the river with a zip line and kayaks. Journey to the river was quite long around 3-4 hours however I don’t think that can be avoided so be prepared for long travel times.

5.00Our tour was led by Bledjan and they gave a great experience throughout! From the 5:30am start till the very end in the evening. Positive vibes were flowing! They gave us informative facts on our coach tour. Made sure we were well looked after and gave us the warm, friendly and vibrant Albanian hospitality! Me and my fiancé have memories that we will cherish. A massive Thank you to Bledjan, our well experienced coach driver and our professional but funny captain of the vessel!

5.00We were picked up in Skhodër. The tour was really cool. The route by bus to the lake is already very nice. Our guide Bledi was great. Very friendly, talks about Albania during the long bus ride and has an eye for the whole group. Speaks good English, is fun, makes jokes and fun music style 👌🏽

5.00Wonderful experience! We booked this trip from Shkoder which made the drive to the Shala river only 1h30. Definitely worth a visit with a tour guide so you don't have to arrange everything yourself. Our guide was also very friendly, enthusiastic and fluent in English.
