This tour takes you to explore Cholula, the oldest living town in Latin America, full of history, tradition and culture. Great Pyramid of Cholula
On this tour we will visit the Archaeological Zone of Cholula, home to the largest pyramid in the world by its base, crowned by the majestic Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies. This site combines pre-Hispanic legacy and colonial tradition in a unique setting. Walk through its inner tunnels, explore the platforms and learn about the rich history of this sacred city that was an important ceremonial center of Mesoamerica. Templo de Santa Maria Tonantzintla
On this tour we will visit the Church of Santa Maria Tonantzintla, a jewel of indigenous Baroque art that will leave you speechless. This temple is famous for its interior decoration, where every corner is full of details carved and painted by indigenous hands, combining religious elements with symbolisms of nature and the pre-Hispanic worldview. Grand tour of pyramid museum and ruins, churches plus pulque!

5.00Hiram was our guide. Seemless pickup at our hotel in Puebla before getting a running description of the areas we passed through on the way to Cholula. The museum was a little gem. Hiram compared and contrasted this pyramid complex with those of the Maya and Aztec. The hike up to the church was challenging for me (asthma) but the views were worth the effort. There's no shade around this area so I wore long sleeves and a hat, while my companion used an umbrella. As an FYI there are bathrooms near the museum and within the archaeological area. Took a shade break to sample some pulque. Slight delay at the second church due to mass while the final church had a funeral in progress. A brief stop to taste some flavored mezcals and shop for souvenirs before heading back to the hotel.

5.00What a great tour! Our guide Pablo was friendly, knowledgeable and a great communicator who spoke perfect English. Having a private tour was a life savor. We saw all of the sites shown on the website as well as a few extra surprises. When we come back to Puebla we will definitely tour through Unlimited Experiences.

5.00Bruno, our guide, and Chris, our driver, exceeded our every expectation. From the moment we entered their van the learning experience began and continued to time we were returned to our origin. The breadth and depth of Bruno’s knowledge of the regions we drove through and the places we visited was bountiful, interestingly presented and put into context with world history. Throughout our trip and tour Chris expertly maneuvered through the traffic and its many challenges safely and comfortably.

5.00Our guide, Danna, and our driver, Alberto provided the perfect Cholula experience. We visited the Cholula archaeological museum, and the archaeological zone, visited amazing churches, had a taste of local liqueurs, and got to know all about the beautiful Talavera tiles. Danna was the perfect guide, and her knowledge of the history and geography of the area made this an absolutely wonderful tour.
